There is a product called LocalFS, which will allow you access to the file system. However, the access is with the username/password specified in the properties of LocalFS, so it may be laborious to set up a LocalFS instance for each user you have. The only way to access the server's file system from zope seems to be using the ExternalFile product, which is far from satisfactory from the point of view of file access rights: it only allows access to files owned by zope itself (or in the same group of zope's). No way to access 'someuser''s files with the uid of 'someuser'? Zope and MS Exchange

Hi, We have a serious problem getting our Zope Mailhost to work. Our configuration is as follows: ************** * INTERNET * ************** / \ | | V ******************** ******************** * Linux-Firewall * Port 8080 * Zope-Server * * + Gateway * --------------------> * * * IP:192.168.13.85 * * IP:192.168.13.80 * ******************** ******************** /\ /\ \ / Port 25 SMTP Port 25 SMTP \ ********************** / \ * MS Exchange Server * / \----> * IP:192.168.13.100 * <----/ * * ********************** Relay from 192.168.13.80 The Mailhost-Form is filled out as follows: ID: MailHost SMTP Host: 192.168.13.100 (or mail.cadwork.de tried alternatively) SMTP Port: 25 Whenever we try to send mail via Zope we get the error message 'Host not found'. Displaying username

May sound like an easy question, but how do I display a logged in users username in a dtml document, what I am planning to do is use that username to search our staff directory and pull back their first and last name Thanks James

Why is needed this factory_type_information in CMFDehault.portal.py factory_type_information = ( Document.factory_type_information + Image.factory_type_information + File.factory_type_information + Link.factory_type_information + NewsItem.factory_type_information + Favorite.factory_type_information + DiscussionItem.factory_type_information + SkinnedFolder.factory_type_information ) as there is a specific factory_type_information in each type (document, file, etc) ? -- Andre PZP Enthusiast

dtml modification of request

I have a DTML document containing a form with input feilds named input_a and input_b. I want to pass a calculated value along with these two items into the target of the form. My understanding was I could wrap a <dtml-let input_c="foobar"> around the form and get all three values visable in my form destination object. How can I pass this variable into the request?

Hi Good day I am using a zope2.50 i am facing a problem with that. I want to use LoginManager and Zpattern . I am trying to install the login manager with zope but it is showing some error of importing the modules. I am working on win nt plate form. I have search on the net for help but very few documentation is there for loginmanager. I write mail to Author ( login manger tsarna) but no response i got from them . COM-Error: CoInitalize was not called

Hello guys, I am programming a custom COM-Method. However after I call win32com.client.Dispatch('NameOf.ComObject') a COM-Error raises containing "CoInitalize was not called". I am working with Zope 2.6.0 on W2K and have the win32com, the win32comext and the Pythonwin modules installed in $ZOPEHOME\bin\lib. I have copied the modules from a working ActivePython installation. If I execute the method from the Pythonwin command line, everything works fine. Whats wrong?
