Hi all, It's like this, I have a ZClass (somebody has got to love 'em) called Folderoid( don't ask) which has a subClass called ArticlesFolderoid (again don't ask). Anyway, in the ZODB it looks like this... theotherblog:instance of Folderoid index_html rhs_html Articles: instance of ArticlesFolderoid. index_html Now, when I look at /theotherblog/ I have some dtml like this...in rhs_html <dtml-with Articles> <dtml-if "_.str(REQUEST.AUTHENTICATED_USER.getUserName()) == 'myusername' "> SOME STUFF </dtml-if> </dtml-with> I get nothing... whereas if I look at /theotherblog/Articles/ I get the SOME STUFF Why is this? -- tom smith http://www.othermedia.com/blog/ 0207 089 5959 3rd Floor, The Pavilion, Newham's Row, London SE1 3UZ

Using filesystem Python Scripts

I am in the process of creating a Python Product for Zope with the following directory structure under my Products directory. -FGDC __init__.py <all other .py modules that make up the metatypes of the product> -dtml <my dtml forms> manage_propertiesForm.dtml -scripts processProperties.py I try to execute the script, processProperties, from inside manage_propertiesForm.dtml. Right now, I am using a simple <dtml-var "processProperties"> call. However, I get a NameError saying that processProperties is not defined. CatalogPathAwareness/CatalogAware Zclasses

If I have a CatalogAware Zclass and I've moved into 2.6, would it be advisable to rebase it as CatalogPathAware, since CatalogAware is deprecated? I'm not sure I really understand the difference in the two, but I am having some speed/performance issues with this Zclass and the Catalog. -Chris muldrow(a)mac.com

Loading an object

Hallo, on a page named index_html I am using the following code to get the object shown referenced in profile. It doesnt work. Only the name of the object is printed. DTML rendering from python?

Hi all, I'm hoping a Zope guru on the list can help me with this one. I'm writing a python product that does some fancy processing of HTML. The problem is that the DTML tag I add to the output of getHTML doesn't get rendered in my DTML Document when I call the object. I'm probably overlooking the obvious, but I'm totally stuck :-S The code is like: def getHTML(self): "Returns HTML for page" html = self._htmltxt # do lots of stuff to html here, but just to keep it simple: html += "<p><dtml-var id></p>" return html def index_html (self, REQUEST, RESPONSE, preview=0, original=0): """ The default view of the contents of an Article Page. Missing dtml-tree '+' and '-' symbols...

Hi, I have a little silly problem with my "dtml-tree" tags. My Zope site is organised with a SiteRoot accessed throught Apache rewrite rules. My problem is that '+' and '-' graphic symbols in front of my dtml-tree branches are not displayed ; if I try to load the image "http://www.mysite.com/p_/mi", i just get a Mozilla message : "The image 'http://www.mysite.com/p_/mi' cannot be displayed, because it contains errors" (and in fact, the file seems empty !!). If I try to load the image "http://www.mysite.com:8080/p_/mi", it works without any problem. Where could the problem could come from ?? I didn't modify Apache or Zope configuration from a long time (but I'm still developping new products), and restarting Zope doesn't change anything... migrate zclass to disk product

Hi; Anyone have any pointers for migrating a product from zclass to disk-based? I did some googling (with no success), and I am ready to do some experimentation, but I think I would rather hear/read from someone who has tried this before I start hacking things up. My best thought so far is just to hide the ZClass (Make its "Add list name" a blank string) then create a new disk product which takes over the "Add list name". Does that sound like the best plan? Is this going to cause confusion? What about meta_type conflict?
