Force reloading of a zope form?

I am trying to set up a web site where I can choose different templates to change the style of the site. I store the template name in a browser cookie. All my documents/forms use the cookie to determine which template to render the site with. My selection mechanism is a DTML document named index_html which contains href links. These links call itself (index_html) with a template=n value tacked onto the URL eg: <a href="index_html?template=2">Use Template #2</a> I set the cookie if the "template" value is present when the document is called. The overall flow is: 1: document loads the original template1, based on pre-existing cookie, or default template if none 2: I select a new template with href link 3: link calls the document again (which still loads the original template based on as-yet unchanged cookie) 4: the document sets the cookie value to the new template setting Now I need to reload the form so it can re-read the cookie and use the new template based on my selection. The problem is that I have to reload the form manually, to get the new template to load based on the new cookie setting. If there is a "form reload" method that would solve my problem. Otherwise all I can think to do is have a DTML method for each template I have to set the cookie and then have that method reload the index_html form, where the selection was made from. Hope this makes sense. Can anyone help? Thanks, Patrick Price

I am pleased to announce the release of CMFCollectorNG 0.20 alpha 1. CMFCollectorNG is a Zope/CMF-based bugtracking system (based on CMFCollector). Major features of CMFCollectorNG: * major code cleanup and complete new skins * very generic to add new ticket properties to a tracker * enhanced tracker configuration through the web * extend usage of the CMF memberdata tool to store user informations and user preferences * rewritten transcript to keep issue related informations in an abstract format to produce different output (HTML, plain text for email notifications) * tickets can have references to other tickets (also across CMFCollectorNG instances) * dedicated views for uploaded files and references to other tickets * better roles management: o TrackerAdmins manage the tracker o Supporters can file tickets, create followups, upload files, add references to other tickets o Reporters can file new tickets and upload files and references * XML export (to be used with XMLRPC) * watchlist/monitoring functionality * Plone compatibility (90% done) * much more minor improvements (too much to mention them :-) ) Changes in 0.20: * translated UI to english (many thanks to Helge Tesdal) * reworked SearchableText() implementation * added Watchlist (authenticated members can "subscribe" to a ticket and receive notifications) * added selection window for ticket references * fixed Python 2.2 compatibility issue * added introspection support for issue properties * fixed several MSIE 5.5/6.0 Javascript compatibility issues * assigned supporters have now permission to edit the tickets they are assigned to * new popup calendar (no longer crashes Mozilla) * the last search inside a tracker is now stored inside the users session object (Zope sessions support must be available and enabled) * refactored XML support * re-added full support for confidential tickets * using "main_template" instead of "collector_template" * bugfixes... Note: This release introduces an English UI (release 0.10 was in German only). Some more i18n integration work need to be done but full core functionality is available. The German UI is *not supported* in this alpha 1 release. Full i18n integration is planned for the first beta coming hopefully very soon. zope 2.6 start problems

Hi, I am running a custom RHAS kernel on which I installed zope from the tarball as per instructions. The installation went smoothly and then I modified the start script to be the following: #! /bin/sh export INSTANCE_HOME=/var/local/zope export ZSYSLOG="/dev/log" cd $INSTANCE_HOME /usr/bin/env /usr/bin/python2.1 \ $INSTANCE_HOME/z2.py \ -D \ -z /var/local/zope \ -u zope \ -X \ -a 192.168.10.173 \ -P 192.168.10.173:8000 \ -f - \ -p - \ -m - \ -M /var/log/zope/detailed.log \ -l /var/log/zope/zserver.log \ >> /var/log/zope/zserver.log \ 2>&1 When I do a ./start &, it starts up the process since I can see it when I do a ps -ax, however there are no messages on the screen, even though I am running in debug mode. But that's still ok. I can't seem to hit the server on that port at all. Also another peculiar thing came up. to check whether it was up or not I ran a nmap - nmap -vv -sS 192.168.10.173 and port 8080 didnt show up. So I ran nmap -vv -sS -p 1-65535 192.168.10.173 and suddenly I got ports all over the place mostly in the 30000 - 55000 range. Where did these come from?? Where did good old 8080 go?? Anybody else experience something like this?? I am absolutely lost as to what to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated. You probably gathered this much, but according to the O'Reilly HTTP Pocket Reference: "CGI programmers are painfully familiar with the 500 (Server Error) code, which frequently means that their program crashed." File Sharing

Hi All, I've checked out the file sharing example and the navigation example. However, what I want to do is upload a whole buch of files (maybe with FTP) and hve them seen without "uploading" each one individually. Is there a way to do this??? TIA IanF

Hi, Thanks for your response. I kind of suspected that the PythonScript constructor would be a zope2.6 thing. Still leaves me with the default DTML Constructor Method for a ZClass not working. Problem with permission

Hello I've got a permission problem in Zope. I don't know if it is a Zope or an exUserFolder issue, so I'm posting to both lists. The point is, that I've a "Z SQL Method", and the user has the role which is allowed to do anything with this object. But I can only execute it when I give "Use Database Methods" to "Anonymous", what I realy don't like to do. If I don't give the permission to "Anonymous", the login box always appears.
