SiteRoot not included into HTML headers...

Hi, A new problem with my Zope site : I have a SiteRoot instance in a sub-folder of my site (with base=http://mysite.myorg.fr) ; everything is handled by Apache rewrite rules, without any problem until now. But now, I don't have any "BASE" tag in my HTML headers, so I receive strange URLs like "http://mysite.myorg.fr/myfolder/...". Objects "absolute_url()" are mismatched in the same way... ZPT: conditional omitting of a tag

hi there, let's say i have something like <a href="#" tal:attributes="href person/homepage"> <span tal:replace="person/name" /> </a> within a tal:repeat in a ZPT. is there a way to test for person/homepage first, and if it does not exist, just omit the <a> tag but publish the <span> tag (effectively printing the name without a link)? right now i am doing it like so: <div tal:condition="person/homepage"> <a href="#" tal:attributes="href person/homepage"> <span tal:replace="person/name" /> </a> </div> <div tal:condition="not:person/homepage"> <span tal:replace="person/name" /> </div> which is ugly at best. also, is there an 'else' construct in TALES? -- martin; (greetings from the heart of the sun.) \____ echo mailto: !#^."<*>"|tr "<*> mailto:" net@madduck NOTE: The pgp.net keyservers and their mirrors are broken! Shared.DC.ZRDB.Results

Greetings Folks, I have a case were we have general index_html which is aquired by various subfolders, the crux of this index_html is a call to SQL, have a generic sql method that is called in each folder. This is all well and good until I need to specifically get some ordering to the values returned in my sql, therefore I have created an external method that changes the ordering in which the results are returned, but sadly I can't figure out how to return a Shared.DC.ZRDB.Results object to my dtml-in, I need to return that rather than a mapping keyword in dtml-in as existing sql returns that kind of object (Shared...Results) and I dont want to override the index_html as I dont want to change two files if I make a modification. Currently my code looks something like this, def receiving_sql_select(self): invalid= [] valid = [] result = self.sql_select_all() resultdicts = result.dictionaries() for item in resultdicts: if int(item['status'])==3: invalid.append(item) else: valid.append(item) return invalid + valid I think I almost have it? Is it possible to use a page template tal expression to get the contents of a structured text file? I would like to do something like <div tal:content="context/anStxDoc">filler </div> to bring in the contents of a structured text doc. Questions about response.write()

Hello all, I have created a dynamic PDF file which I would like to send to the client without creating any Zope objects. I have the contents of the PDF file in a variable, and I use the follow snippet of code to send the pdf file to the client --- RESPONSE.setHeader("Content-Type", "application/pdf") RESPONSE.write(pdf) --- The problem is that it works under I.E., Netscape 6 but not Netscape 7. Under Netscape 7, nothing is received. My Zope is configured behind Apache SSL. I think this might be the problem, but ain't sure. Anybody knows what gives? Thanks in advance Regards, Tj

Newbie question re debugging

Hi, Suppose I have a script buried inside a script buried inside a ZPT, and I want to simply do the equivalent of "print $var" for debugging purposes, from within my script. Get current username within pythonscript

Can someone tell me how to do this within a PythonScript ? I've tried from AccessControl import getSecurityManager username=getSecurityManager.getUser().getUserName() but get this error..."function attributes not accessible in restricted mode" Any ideas ? LocalFS Upload Timeout

Hi all, I am using LocalFS to allow users to upload files to the webserver. I am get a Zope timeout error when the upload file is larger than 20MB. The system has about 128MB of available RAM and 400MB Swap space. Can anyone give me some suggestions on what might be happening here? System Info: --Pent III 800Mhz --Debian 2.4 --Zope 2.5.0 Thanks in advanced for any suggestions, MT

Please help with Rendering Images in DTML

Hello all - I feel like I'm beating my head in searching for the right syntax. I'm sure no one else has been there .... Anyway, here's the challenge: In a DTML method, a string is constructed in a variable that is the relative URL of an Image. For example ... <dtml-let MyImageId="'folder/subfolder/myimage.jpg'"> using <dtml-var MyImageId> results in just the string being returned a hand constructed image tag like <img src=<dtml-var MyImageID> alt=""> will render the desired image, but does not provide access to its 'Image object' attributes like height and width. various rendering syntax such as <dtml-var render(MyImageId)> or <dtml-var _.getitem(MyImageId)> and any other variations I can come up with all merely render the string's content instead of the object I am trying to point to. Please advise: a) the syntax to render the object using a variable that contains its relative URL and b) the 'dtml-var' syntax to access an attribute that it has as an Image object, such as it's width. c) On an unrelated subject, what is the syntax to parse the contents of QUERY_STRING using the + sign as a delimiter instead of an operator. For example, the QUERY_STRING has the value arguement1+arguement2+arguement3. how would you construct a dtml-var statement that would render only 'arguement2'. An extensive Google search and review of the book did not find the answers. Any guidance will be greatly appreciated. Best regards, Gary
