Hi all, I have two websites running on seperate machines on the same domain. One is use for internal, the other is use to for external customers. The internal has CMF 1.2 and the other Zope 2.5.0 with basic authentication. Is it posible to automate the internal users so that they don't have to login to the external website once they are login to the internal CMF site? Thanks for any suggestions MT --

strange issue with Zope HEAD (2.x) and python 2.2.2

Hi all, after several weeks away from zopeland (sickness) i fetched the latest sources from CVS. AFAIK the soon to be 2.7 should had worked rigth out of the box with python 2.2.x. Anyway with python 2.2.2 (and with both gcc3.2.1 and 2.95) i *allways* get this build error, at build time of zope sources: (...) hi I try to execute a python script witch loops a folder and display only the objects for witch the 'Anonymous' has the 'View' permission. To put it in another way, I want to find the objects with the 'View' permission disabled for 'Anonymous' role. dragos

Benchmarking text indexes

Has anyone done any benchmarking of how long the various flavors of text indexes for the catalog (ZCTextIndex vs TextIndex vs TextIndexNG) take to index themselves? I'm still not entirely convinced my memory leak is fixed, and I've definitely identified our single biggest performance problem as when PrincipiaSearchSource is indexed. I'm considering using two catalogs, one of which indexes categories and other things that we use for static queries and a second to handle archiving full text. The first would update with the Catalog-awareness, but the full-text would be indexed on a cron. I'm not sure about that, though--I've got to find a way to say "full-text index any Zclass instances that aren't in the full-text index already." I guess I can schedule catalog "finds" based on a date, right? Thinking out loud again... Chris muldrow(a)mac.com

Silva-Error on edit-, metadata or access-tab

Hi, I managed to install Silva-0.8.6.1 and imported the Silva-0.8.zexp example. As soon as I try to hit the edit-, metadata or access-tab of a document I get the following error. Preview and publish are ok. problems after a crash

Hi, I'm running ZOPE 2.5.1 on a windows machine. After a crash the tree on the left frame of the management interface don't load (http://localhost:8080/manage_menu) If I access two or three objects then the whole web management interface stops responding. Hi, I get exactly the same error after installing the AdaptableStorage-Product with two mount_paths connected and accessing the the folder-object with the second-one. See an earlier posting to this list. -- Elena My earlier posting with error: Hi Shane, in my ZMI there are two folders: pathA and pathB and I use your AdaptableStorageProduct for FileSystemStorage with the two mount_paths=/pathA/zptTexte; /pathB/zptTexte so that the zptTexte get mounted to these Folders in the ZMI. It works initially but when I try to copy anything in the pathA-Folder in the ZMI , I get a RuntimeError. Same happens as soon as I try to enter the folder pathA in the ZMI afterwards. Is there any solution for that? Help with DCOracle2 and CLOB data reads

Hello all, I have a database with a CLOB data column that I'm trying to read data from. I am using DCOracle2, and the howto found here: http://www.zope.org/Members/peterb/oracle_lobs Also, I have found the DCOracle2 Users' guide here: http://iteso.mx/~jose/DCOracle2.pdf Neither of these are helping me, though. I downloaded the example zexp file from the first link above. After customizing the column names for my database, I get a page that shows the following information: CORPORATE_ID MOLFORMULA (the clob field) 'CID-0000926' None I can't figure out why the blob isn't showing up. I edited the example scripts again to include a LOBLENGTH field in the HTML results, and I get something similar to this: CORPORATE_ID LOBLENGTH MOLFORMULA 'CID-0000926' 10 None Therefore, I AM getting some data in the loblocator. I just can't figure out how to get it to text. I even tried the following: for row in container.sql_select_blob(corporate_id=id): lob = row['molformula'] #I also tried numerical row indexes #here (row[1]) but that didn't help either length = lob.length() formula = lob.read(length) formula2 = str(formula) #THIS I ADDED TO TRY TO FORCE IT TO A STRING, # ALSO I TRIED repr() BUT IT DIDN'T HELP EITHER result.append({'corporate_id': row['corporate_id'], 'length': length,'molformula': formula2}) I added the comments to the code above (I know it breaks the indent rules...it wasn't there when I ran the code). If I query the table via SQLPlus to see if any of the clob fields are null (select ID from test where clob is null) I get 2 IDs (out of 811 records). Therefore, I have made sure I'm not querying those clobs for the time being. Any help here would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Dave

Structured Text: avoid <p> around html-tags

Hi, html-tags are allowed in structured text. But they are wrapped with <p>-tags too, which results in non-standard html. How can I prevent that. i.e. list and table elements, that are generated by structured text are not wrapped in <p>'s. (zope 2.6.0) I need to wrap some text in a <div>-box. -- many thanks for your replies, Elena
