I want to run everything through apache in order to use tls/ssl. so far all I'm using is proxypass and proxyreverse, but may jump into rewrite rules. This is for zope 2.6.x. formulator 1.5 error

(newbie)-Calling in Multiple Selection from a Z-Class

# I have a Z-Class called animals with a multiple selection for animal_catagories # I call in each member of the Z-class: <dtml-with AnimalDirectory> <dtml-in expr="objectValues()"> <dtml-if "meta_type==' Animal"> # For testing: <dtml-var id> has <dtml-var animal_catagories> # Which gives me "Horse is ['hooved','brown','horsey'] as these are the values that I have given to the horse instance # I then have: <dtml-if expr="REQUEST['hooved'] == _['animal_categories'][0]"> <dtml-var id> is a <dtml-var hooved> animal </dtml-if> # Which gives me Horse is a hooved animal. Which is great! # Except this is only checking for the first value. If hooved were the second value chosen in the multiple select list, then this would not show. This is obvious because of the [0] # What I am trying to do is to compare hooved with each of the animal categories to see if it has been chosen. If I use a <dtml-in animal_catagories> with or without ''s, then it tells me that I can't call in a string. # Could anyone please help me, or point me in the right direction? Thanks, Ben

We've recently updated the ClearWind Windows Installer to use Zope 2.7 b3 and Python 2.3, sorry, the recompilation took a little bit of time. Protect subobjects/subtemplates

Hello ! I want to protect my Zope files, and objects from anybody to see them, or get the structure of my site. The problem is that: The site is like this: root index_html folder1 > many subobjects folder2 > many subobjects folder3 > many subobjects folderN > many subobjects I want to handle all of the requests with one file, the index_html. So: http://root or http://root/index_html is valid, every other request is invalid. Because the site have many objects, I use subfolders to separate them. But I don't want to anybody stranger see these folders, or the objects in in. Now if I write this: http://root/folder1 then the Zope don't drop an error message, but search for the root's index_html, and load it. It is not too good for me. Or it is trying: http://%root%/MS_BuildLeftMenu // this is an zpt object, a subcomp and the Zope is evaluate this object for the outer request. So: Have the Zope an object property what prevent these effects ? I want to create perfect handled site, and I don't want to anybody access subcomponents/subobjects/subresults, and get the site structure or an information about working methods. I want to use this site with one public main script, what call the subobjects that hided from the outer requests. How can I do that ? I don't think threads are the answer here. I think what most people do is load a page with an animated gif that animates a waiting icon or something, and that page then calls (via JS or something I guess, I don't know if a response.redirect call would work there) another page which does the heavy lifting. Then the browser sits and waits for the queries to finish, and when they do, it loads the new page. absolute_url error while creating "Whats New" tab

Hi Zopers: There is code in ZopeLabs cookbook on how to create a "What's New" tab, URL:http://www.zopelabs.com/cookbook/1042822744 I tried the code by JCLawrence(found at the bottom part of that page) with "Using for main content" and most part it worked OK, except I am not able to link ("More" link) each item with the "href resultObject/absolute_url" tal attribute. I am getting a Site error: This site encountered an error trying to fulfill your request. The errors were: Error Details Error Type AttributeError Error Value 'None' object has no attribute 'absolute_url' If I comment the line(s): <a href="/view" tal:attributes="href resultObject/absolute_url" i18n: translate="read_more"> Read More </a> Then it renders all the "Newly changed or created items", but there is no "More" link, so I can not access the contents of the items. My whats_new.pt file is in the dir: zope/Products/CMFPlone-1.0/CMFPlone/skins/plone_templates I am a newbie in Zope/Plone, so need some help to debug this problem. Thanks in advance. Zope Roadmap

Hi Zopers While developing with Zope 2.6.2 and Python 2.3.2 in different projects I was wondering what the state of future releases of Zope would be. Zope 2.7 is promised to support Python 2.3 which would be nice. Zope 3's component architecture would be even nicer! Looking at the information at http://dev.zope.org/Projects/ it is not clear how far the coming releases are. For example I read: "Zope 2.7 is tentatively planned to be released in Q1 2003.". Were they missing the year? Can somebody give an up-to-date indication of what we can expect when? Any help needed? ;-) thanks and kind regards André
