I'd of the belief that the simplest solution is the best. I have creates a VHM mapping which reads intranet.yyy.com/intranet This causes intranet.yyy.com to resolve to the root of my Zope installation instead of to the intranet folder. If I enter intranet.yyy.com/intranet I get to the right folder. Clearly, I'm doing something wrong...can someone please tell me what it is. Many thanks in advance. BayMountain will be installing a new UPS on the circuit that runs mail.python.org/mail.zope.org. Downtime of approximately 30 minutes is scheduled between 2-4am Sunday December 21st EST. -Barry

Either load the module or compile apache with --enable-module=proxy Additional configurations are: Listen 80 ProxyVia On Do you have ErrorLog, TransferLog, and RewriteLog specified? You are building the page, and whether you have your server stick the information into a query string that is the value of a form's ACTION attribute, or somewhere else in the form is up to you - you get to choose how to do it. One way is as easy for the server as the other. Anyway, a GET is of course allowed to give different results, just not because of something that happened *because* of the GET. The GET is supposed to reflect the current state of the thing, and if the state were to change, so would the results of a GET, as Toby also mentioned. zope with apache

Hello Everybody, I am trying to configure zope with apache and using the following way. After adding VHM to the zope directory added Following lines in httpd.conf of apache <VirtualHost *> ServerName www.example.com RewriteEngine On RewriteRule ^/(.*)http://Ip_of_the_server:8080/VirtualHostBase/http/www.example.com:80/ Name_of _the_zopedirectory/VirtualHostRoot/$1 [L,P] </VirtualHost> But it is not working. I also compiled apache with --enable -rewrite module. Looking for advice and help. How to map with Virtual Host Monster

Hei, I have installed a Virtual Host Monster and followed the example in the Zope Book. That is; in the mappings tab of VHM I write: www.example.com:8080/vhm_test Then i visit the url: http://www.example.com:8080 and get the desired vhm_test folder displayed. However, I would like to use an url without the :8080 part in it. That is; I would like to visit the url http://www.example.com and get the desired vhm_test folder displayed. My question is: How do I do this? I hav tried to read the information under the "About" tab in my VHM, and I have also read a lot on the mailing list about this. From these sources it looks as it is as simple as to write www.example.com/vhm_test in the mappings tab window, and then just visit the url http://www.example.com. But this just does not work for me. However, when i visit http://www.example.com:8080 I get the vhm_test folder displayed... Thank you : ) Børge

So, here's all you do to add another TD to the table and display an AT field called "teaser"... 1. get the topic_view.pt and hit customize 2. find the line just inside the <tbody> tag where it says <metal:block tal:repeat="match batch"> info: That's the start of the part that grabs info from your AT (and any other matching objects). But all it grabs is the metadata from the portal_catalog, and not your interesting field. You need to tell it how to find info from your AT object by using getObject. 3. So add a line like this inside the block <span tal:define="matchobj match/getObject"> and add a matching </span> just before the close of that </metal:block> 4. To get your "teaser", add this line right after the one calling Description: <td tal:content="matchobj/teaser | nothing">Teaser</td> That will grab your teaser from your object. If there's no "teaser" field (as in some non-AT object), it will return nothing, but not an error. Alternatively, you could replace "nothing" with " string:no teaser ". 5. Don't forget to add a matching teaser TH up in the top of the table so that people know what they're looking at: <th> <tal:block i18n:translate="">Teaser</tal:block> </th> Longer term, if this might be a performance barrier, get the portal_catalog metadata to pick up whatever AT fields that you'll need in your Topics. Hi, I mapped the network drive to my k: device but it still produces an error when trying to open the file Error Type: IOError Error Value: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: 'K:\\folder\\file.wav' I executed the statement in a python prompt and it worked fine. Can it really be true that it is impossible to open a file from a network drive?
