All the files seem to be multiple copies of the same few images, they all seem to be images of our company logo and stuff like that - stuff that would be on the site in various places - so its unlikely its evidence of an attack on the server. Which kind of cache manager? The only one I know of that writes separate files on the filesystem is Andy McKay's FSCacheManager, only available from cvs on collective.sf.net. IIRC it uses the object's getPhysicalPath() in zope to determine the filesystem path to write, which means it cannot write the same file to multiple filesystem paths - so it is very unlikely to account for your 80,000 files. -- Paul Winkler http://www.slinkp.com Look! Moving files using python scripts

Hello, I am trying to develop an application that allows moving of items from one folder to another without using the ZMI. The application allows them to create folders for archival purposes. Items are created in the New folder. They view these items in the New folder and can move them to any folder that they may have created. I am populating a drop down box with a list of folders, they check the items they want to move, choose the folder and click the Move To button. That posts to a python script. I am able to cut the checked items but how do I call the past function on an folder when I have the id of the folder I want to paste the items in. I can reference the folder directly, but that does not allow them to choose the folder from the drop down list. Is it possible to programmatically access a folder to paste when given the id of that folder? Thanks, David

Hi all, We have 75,000 to 80,000 .png, .jpg and .wmf files in the Zope var directory. Where do these files come from? Are they something to do with the cache? If so how do we clean them out - there couldn't be more than 20 or 30 seperate images on our whole site and the 75,000 to 80,000 are making it difficult to backup the site. We are running Zope 2.6.2 with Plone 1.0.5. We are using a cache manager for our site. sorry if this is a simple question... i have some restricted folders in a zope site and i'm using acl_users and roles to control access. when the username and password box comes up and someone hits cancel, zope(?) generates the following line of text: you are not authorised to access this resource. username and password are not correct. my problem is the code it generates: <strong>you are not authorised to access this resource.</strong><p> username and password are not correct. the text is fine, but when it goes into my dtml page it is playing havoc with my layout and css. where can i find this error message so i can amend the html tags? cheers matt

persistent form variables and user login

Right now, i would like to solve some doubts in this area. I have a few folders eg. folders A, B, C ) in my website and each folder has an acl_users folder storing the users allowed to access the particular folder. Also I have a acl_users folder at my root to contain all the users which i have registered for this website. Yes, the users in this acl_users folder are the users in A,B ,C. Using cookiecrumbler, i have a login form for the user to login by checking against this acl_users at root. My questions lie here: 1. After logging in, the user will click on the link ( which is folder A), which contains a form which the authorized user can select the conditions and save this report. 2. I understand that using ZODB (outside of zope framework) can do the job in storing the variables. But how do I associate this user with the variables? What is the code used to find out what the login user at folder A is? 3. ANN: Epoz 0.7.2 released - ready for Plone 2

Hi, I've just released an improved version of Epoz... Many css-fixes regarding the use of Epoz in Plone 2 and other important bug fixes (see changes below). What is Epoz? Epoz is a cross-browser-wysiwyg-editor for Zope/Plone. Epoz supports IE >= 5.5, Mozilla >= 1.3, Netscape >= 7.1, Firebird >= 0.7 and other gecko-based browsers. Where can I see a demo? http://www.zfl.uni-bielefeld.de/personal/mjablonski/epoz Where can I download Epoz? http://www.zope.org/Members/mjablonski/Epoz What is changed in 0.7.2? - changed toolbox-icon into a folder; link-icon and toolbox-icon were to similar before. - added remove-format-button; this can be useful if you want to remove several text-formats at once. Maybe someone can provide a better icon? Please note: IE is a little bit smarter than Mozilla. IE removes colors as well... - made some css-fixes for using Epoz with tableless layout in Plone 2: - removed nowrap-style around epoz_toolbox; - changed toolbox-width in wysiwyg_support from absolute px to relative percentage, so Epoz won't break the layout anymore; - made widget xhtml-compatible. Please note: Epoz uses the Plone-CSS to render the content. The Plone-CSS doesn't allow other alignments then left-aligned for paragraphs and so clicking on the Epoz-alignment-buttons shows no effect in Plone. Please don't mail me about this... fix the Plone-CSS (remove 'text-align: left;' from p-defintion in plone.css). - removed break_before_br in EpozTidy to keep pre-formatted text in order. - fixed bug: Stefanie Panke noticed encoding problems when using the Euro-Sign. Switched all default encodings from ISO-8859-1 to more universal windows-1252. Thanks, Stefanie! - fixed bug: Casey Duncan from Zope Corporation tracked down a subtle bug in the product initialisation process of Epoz. Short story: Registering a product and a method with the same name (Epoz) can cause conflicts under some circumstances (esp. running test-suites in Zope 2.7 etc.). Now Epoz is marked as __replaceable__. Thanks, Casey!!! - fixed bug: removed hardcoded protocol (http:) in XMLRPC-call; Epoz over https: should now work again. Storing and Returning variables when user logins again

Hi I have the following situation. In my webbie, each registered user who logs in can generate a report by selecting 6 query conditions in a form( from 6 dropdowns lists queried from mysql table). He can also choose to save the conditions as a reportname so that the next time he logs in, he can view the report by clicking on the saved link, without selecting the conditions again.
