Getting aquisition values from object attribute

I have a product which has an object attribute that is an object. Just like HTMLFile() or similar. I need to get the aquisition values from the parent object. How on earth do I do that? Pseudocode class MyAttr: def title(self) "I need to get ie. title value from 'MyProduct'" return # ????? class MyProduct: my_attr = MyAttr() regards Max M

We have been using eWebEditPro from Ektron (www.ektron.com) with sucess. Supports both Explorer and Netscape (except Mac). It's been reliable and relatively inexpensive ($300.00 US for 10 users). Easy to interface with Zope thru javascript. Bob Corriher P-Wave Inc.

Are you talking about the : mount script here? Or are you talking about /zope_localfs/user1? About mount script. /zope_localfs/user1 will have rights to zope access. But it will be good, if /zope_localfs will have directory above, eg. /zope_hide/zope_localfs... /zope_hide will does not have a "RWX" attribute for anybody, so anybody except root will does not see content of /zope_hide. Beginner question: How to install a product

Hi I'm a new Zope user and I'm facing to a problem. I want a Zope site on a windows NT domain with RemoteUserFolder and IIS as an authentication frontend. After I installed the windows distribution of Zope I put behind an IIS server (I found a howto at www.zope.org : 'Zope2,IIS and PCGI', created by brianh). All of it worked. Now I have to install the RemoteUserFolder product but I don't know how to do that. The Zope Manual has chapter14, but it's only about creating through the web manageable products, nothing about installing external made products. Could you help me? Thanks, Imre.

Boa constructor, starting zope

Hi, I have an intranet running zope and Zwiki. I want to learn more about programming in python, and extending my zwiki intranet. For this I've installed Boa constructor. Now I've to get Zope running. I have installed Python23 on my system. My Zope installation uses Python21. When I start p2.py from Boa, or the command line which runs pythong23, somewhere python21.dll called. I cannot figure out where exactly, but I believe it has something to do with zlib. But when I use zlib from version 23 I get the same error. Here's how far I'm now: I start Boa, run z2.py. This gives the error unable to find python21.dll. This error also happens when I run z2.py from explorer (python23 loads and runs it). In Boa, I get a Traceback: z2.py: import ZServer? .... HTTPResponse?.py: import zlib,struct. When I copy python21.dll to the path, I get an import error: module use of python21.dll conflicts with this version of Python. (same traceback). I definitely could use some help on how to get past this obstacle. Currently I use Zope 2.6.0, python 2.1.3 (for Zope) and zwiki 0.11 on windows platform. Main question (for now), how do I run p2.py with the new python? Wim

Not able to log in with exUserFolder

Hi all I have got a problem with using exUserFolder. The situation is: - Zope 2.6.1 on Win2000, and newest version of XUF - I've got a folder 'test' with exUserFolder's acl_users. An authentication source is defined as PostgreSQL Auth Source, and there are null property and membership sources. - XUF properties are set to cookie based auht or secure cookie based auth - when I set it to standard basic auth everything is ok. - In my 'test' folder I have created 'secured' (it's a name) folder and removed permissions to 'access content data' and 'view' for anonymous users. Everybody is allowed to view test's folder index_html and then to click on a link to 'secured' folder. After user selects the link I expect Zope to redirect to a login page (default docLogin at acl_users/contents), log the user in and then redirect to secured's folder index_html. But althought this works with my favourite Opera browser it doesn't work with MSIE (I have tested it with v.6.0), which states that there is: HTTP 500 - Internal server error. And one more thing - after i click the link to 'secured' (Opera) then for a short time i can see a page that states that 'there was error while rendering standard error template'. Any ideas? Last question - I have read somewhere that I can define 'LoginForm' ZPT in my 'test' folder, and XUF should use it instead (??) of it's internal docLogin. Am I right? What for is it?
