I'm looking for things like: Concurrent sessions on single machine, Concurrent sessions per machine in a ZEO cluster, Page refresh rates. Nothing too major, basically. manage_addPythonScript

I'm haing some problems calling manage_addPythonScript. While the manual mentions it's existence I can find no examples of how to call it (a common complaint!). However, when I get something that runs I get Error Type: TypeError Error Value: 'in' or 'not in' needs sequence right argument (which I have only ever seen where python versions are wrong.....) Is this a permisssions problem, a bug, or simply user error? I'd appreciate your wisdom....... which base class for "news"

Hi, i need to have a ZClass for News-Entries, but I don't really know which Base Class to use. I need to save author, time of creation and the real news-text with it, so I first thought that I could put these into different properties and have no base class. Now this doesn't work, as I don't have properties with no base class, second thought was to use file, but then I'll get the content page when clicking on it in the ZMI? I know that I can redefine the edit View to my propertysheet/manage view, but I thought that there would be a more "straightforward" solution to this? I also thought about setting the data of a File-subclassed ZClass to the news-text, but this doesn't work, I get a Unauthorized Error when execution <newObject>.update_data within a Script(Python)?! I would be the most concerned about "queue" and "new_queue" because they seem to have the most potential for keeping references hanging around - who knows what references Zope may construct once the thing returns? Stop external URL's loading within a browser window

Hi *, Seeing as the majority of people on this list are web developers, I thought this would be the place to ask my question. In hope that someone else has had the same issue and possibly has a solution. Within my Zope application, I load a small pop-up window in which I load a third party applet. My problem is when users click on an external link (say a URL contained in an email in Outlook etc.) it loads that site within the pop-up window containing my applet and clobbers all child applications loaded by that applet. Is there any way to stop this using JavaScript or some other mechanism? passing :records on in a hidden field

I am collecting form data in a :records object: <form action="page2"> <input type=text name="stuff.name:records:string" value="" > <input type=text name="stuff.snumber:records:int" value="" > <input type="submit" value="Submit"> </form> On page2, I have another form that I am collecting data in, and would then like to pass both records objects on to page3, but a simple <input type="hidden" name=stuff value=<dtml-var stuff> > doesn't work (it passes a string that represents the records). Any ideas?

Hi everyone, I know that there are several opinions and articels about this topic, but maybe someone of you can give the right links or hints where to find a real understandable guide to do that because I can't really test around because we have a system in production, and I can't stop zope and restart it whenever I want to. I am also not able to connect IIS and Zope behind an Apache webserver. It would be great if someone can help me with this. Thanks in advance.
