recursive python script = Memory Leak?

I have a hierarchy of folderish objects, and I wish to generate a list representing it, starting at some arbitrary point in the hierarchy and working towards the root. So, I think: recursion is the way to do it. However, any means that I try to generate this list introduces a memory leak. Are there any tricks/quirks in recursive python scripts I should know about? It appears that one section of this list isn't being deleted, so when the script is called again (i.e. starting the recursive algorithm again), the list that is initially create is the list from the previous call. I'll put the code here so hopefully someone can point out an (obvious) bug :-) Oh, the list that I'm building is of the form: [[object, [objects children]]] And, it's necessary to have the second outer list. ## Script (Python) "getRootedMenuList_recursive" ##parameters=queue ## #add the siblings for o in context.objectValues('BethelMenu'): if (o != queue[0][0]): queue.append([o,[]]) #create a new child_q new_queue = [[context, queue]] if (context.is_root != 1): return context.aq_parent.getRootedMenuList(new_queue) else: return new_queue Thanks for your help!!!! ZClasses and properties

Hi, Zope 2.6 on SuSE 8.2 Linux I have created a ZClass with ObjectManager and CatalogPathAware base classes. In this class I have created a propertysheet named 'control'. The idea is to have instances of this ZClass inherit the control properties for use by python scripts - and there's my problem: context.test.propertysheets.control.hasProperty('processX') -> returns the properties context.test.hasProperty('processX') -> does not As far as I can tell all permissions are correct. Can somebody tell me why the 2 statements do not return the same result? I need to be able to access properties with a common id in propertysheets with diverse ids. How should I do this? Yes, I know this has been discussed here before, but the archives have rolled over and the thread is gone :-( Why does the url grow ( something like a/b/a/b/a/b/a//b/a/b )? and what can be done to prevent it?

Why is it that when I create a product using ZClasses that when I call the product from a dtml method like <dtml-var clickable_graph> that I get : <clickable_graph instance at 0176B930> and not the product? What am I doing wrong? Thanks, KB

Initial User and Password

Dear all, We am new to the group! One had downloaded zope-2.3.1-5mdk.i586.rpm for testing. The server installed and ran but had a problem in getting into the /manage site as one does not have the initial user and password. Would appreciate a lot for anyone that knows what they are! New mailman product/scripts

I have just added a new Mailman integration product to the Zope site. It is slightly different architecturally from other Mailman integration products in that only a single instance is needed in order to manage all lists. The product is in its infancy, but is being used in production at my company. In the near future I will be adding full list configurability (all the options: General, Privacy, etc) to the product. The <dtml...> tag just sets up the environment for accessing objects, and there is no need to try to stick another <dtml> tag inside one (even if it were allowed). All you need is the obvious - <dtml-if expr="REQUEST.has_key('nol') and nol==id"> Furthermore, Python uses short-circuit evaluation, so the expression will not fail if there is no key for nol - very helpful. Python 2.1.3 includes a fix to an issue that could cause crashes in Zope.
