Hi all, I'm newbie in zope. I saw that there's an opportunity to use a issue tracker (http://www.zope.org/Members/peterbe/IssueTrackerProduct) But one thing I don't understand for the installation is the CVS stuff. What am I sensing to do? Browse the CVS Root? Install a CVS client and do something? Thanks

Inconsistent property values

Hi! We have a python script which updates a property. When we go to see the property management form we see the correct values, but when we reload it we get sometimes the new values, sometimes the previous values and sometimes even older values. The same happened with an python script we made to display the property values we need to change. Is it some kind of object caching? Is there a way to stop Zope from using old values of an updated property? Miguel Lara Alday

I printed out the threading.currentThread().getName()s every step to check which threads are doing what. Coming to think of it, the above probably only proves that the commit happens in one thread, not that the objects that are committed weren't changed by multiple threads. Anyway, I will go through my code with a fine comb again as me being sure I don't use a connector from different threads does not mean it isn't so! At the least I will try and give more information trying to prove it isn't so :) Thanks anyway. Etienne

IOError when packing database

Locked out of acl_users

Not realizing what I was doing would be a _bad_ thing, I mistakenly changed the default manager account to a ownership account. All other users are ownership, not manager. Now, I cannot get into acl_user regardless of what user I try to log in as. I keep getting: Zope Error Zope has encountered an error while publishing this resource. Error Type: Unauthorized Error Value: You are not authorized to view this object. ~~~~~~~~~ Is there any way to get myself set back up as a manager? :-) thx, Kevin

wrong url in localfs

Hi, When using <td><a href="&dtml-basepath;/<dtml-var id>"><dtml-var id></a></td> the URL is like file:///c:/temp/admin/test.pdf. I try to open the file but without success. What is wrong with the url reference ? Regards, Michael

After trying to play with some debugging, I got tired of the headaches. So I turned to zLOG, and tried to call it from with DT_Util.py, to find out the value of URL. But I end up getting a "global name 'URL' is not defined" message. session = context.REQUEST.SESSION print session session.set ('hello', 'world') print session return printed What am i doing wrong with SESSIONs. When i reload this page the SESSION is empty. Shouldn't the key 'hello' be persistant in the SESSION (for the timeout time anyway)?? Drew

PostgreSQL Databases

Hello, I want to insert data into a PostgreSQL Database over an external Method. My problem is that I don't know how to implement a reasonable exception Handling. I don't know which classes I should use. I did the same thing with ODBC, but there was a special class which has to be used for this error Handling(sql).
