'Delete objects' permission

Are permissions handled differently on folders than other objects? I have a community site where members should be able to add objects anywhere, but only delete their own objects. How do I achieve this? I have a folder and in it an object. If I add 'Delete objects' and 'Modify portal content' for Owner on the object I still can't delete it. If I add 'Delete objects' for Owner on the folder I still can't delete the object, but if I add 'Delete objects' for Member, then I can delete the object. How should I set the permissions to get this community policy? I've searched The Zope Book, Zope mailing lists and google without finding an answer. Maybe there isn't one ;-) Thanks, Tim

prevent quoting in tal:attributes

How can I prevent quote escaping in tal:attributes? My attribute contains many quotes itself, and ZPT automatically escapes them. Details: I want to calculate the onMouseOver attribute of <img>. This is the desired result: onMouseOver="MM_swapImage('usability', '', '/usability_on_cs.gif',0)" You see that there are many quotes... This is the Python Script excerpt which calculates the onMouseOver string: ## 'name' and 'url_on' are properly calculated... item['onmouseover']='MM_swapImage("' +name+ '", "", "' +url_on+ '", 0)' The result of this when rendered via ZPT is this: onmouseover="MM_swapImage("contacts", "", "/contacts_on_cs.gif", 0)" I need to change those " back to single quotes. ZPT , Navigation Box ( like the plone one )

Hi all , I am using ZOpe for one month and i dont now the tips yet . I would like i kind of "dtml-tree" into the navogation box of my Plone/Zope site . At least i would like the navogation box to liste the current subfolders . How should i do it ? Thank you in advance . Does anyone know of Training for Plone/CMF/Zope?

Would you all be so kind as to recommend some training options that are available for Plone/CMF/Zope. We are particularly interested in using Plone/CMF and developing e-commerce capabilities that would integrate into Plone/CMF. We are located in Saint Petersburg, FL. Automatic Restarts?

Hi All, Zope keeps restarting on its own. Why is it doing this? We are running Zope 2.61. It is really becoming a headache since we are running and eCommerce site. Everytime it restarts you get a Proxy error on the site until it is done. You can imagine how annoying this would be especially to our customers. Can somebody please help? Unpack, "You are not allowed to use unpack..."

Hello Zopistas.... I'm trying to read a binary file from within zope... It's format is rather simple, but it does a length stored as an Unsigned long. In a test program, I used to struct.unpack(...) to read in the unsigned long... Unfortunatetly, Zope don't want me to do this 8-( Is there a work around? Is there a work around, or must I create an unpack(..) external script just to get this value? Jerry Westrick...

problem with indexObject Method of zcatalog
