IIS to Zope connector issues with IIS 6/Win2003

Hi all, We've been using the Hiperlogica IIS-to-Zope connector script on Windows 2000 Server running IIS 5 without any problems. However, we are in the process of moving everything over to a Windows 2003 box running IIS 6. The connector script works fine, except when form data is being passed through. In that case none of the form objects make it back to Zope from the client. They are present in the script (I can access them just fine), but appear to get lost in the binary transfer to Winhttp. Zope startup errors

That is fixed now. - An option has been added, so that Dynamic lists can consist of content that is collected either from the entire site or a folder with subfolders.. - Minor usability & bug fixes *What is it?* The mxm Dynamic Page product for Plone makes it easy for end-users to make dynamic pages that aggregates lists of content from a part of a Plone site, or from the entire site. In short, it makes it easy to add dynamic lists to a document. It is especially usefull as an "index_html" in a member folder, where the member then has the option to make dynamic lists of his content. I want to create class which will allow adds objects of any class through my own interface. For example: user click on button "Add Min_all" on dtml form, and manage_addMin_allForm is shown. User input data in manage_addMin_allForm and click "Add" button on manage_addMin_allForm. After that object of Min_all with necessary values of attributes will be added to ZODB.

TextIndexNG 2.06 released

I am pleased to announce the release of TextIndexNG V 2.06. This version fixes a problem with disappearing documents that have been reindexed. It also makes the usage of external converters more safe (see release notes). There is also a new official hook for thrid-party products to expose indexable content for TextIndexNG2. Changes since 2.05 - removed MD5 cache introduced in V 2.03 because of misc reindexing problems - Converters: - TextIndexNG now checks at startup of Zope if the configured external converters are available (using the 'which' command). A converter will not be registered if this check fails - The converter API introduces a new convert2() method to provide a better control over mimetypes and encodings - Indexing: Objects can define a hook 'txng_get(attr_list)' to return a tuple '(source, mimetype, encoding)' for better control over the data to be indexed. I have trival class on Python: manage_addMin_allForm=DTMLFile('dtml\manage_addMin_allForm',globals()) class min_all(SimpleItem.SimpleItem): ... How I can show & exec manage_addMin_allForm on external Python script? I can use RESPONSE.redirect('manage_addProduct/Minimal/manage_addMin_allForm'). But I want to do some like this: self.manage_addMin_allForm(). Regard, Serg.

Syntax problem

All, I'm having a silly syntax problem again, and I can't get it right. I'm try to update a value in a list DetailBodyHeader at Index DetailEditSection with the value in the variable BodyText. The following statement executes without error, but doesn't update the value: dtml-call "REQUEST.set('DetailBodyHeader[DetailEditSection]',BodyHeader)" Can someone point me in the right direction? Problem with ZODB tutorial

This tutorial is brilliant . as a python/zope/plone newbie it is brilliant . I was happily working away until .. It asks me for registration details . I didn't have a registration so I created one and logged in then I clicked on page 5 and now I get an error message asking me to email webmaster(a)zope.org. Insufficient Privileges You do not have sufficient privileges to view this page. If you are getting this message when trying to edit your own zope.org content, remember that you must retract published items before you may edit them. To retract an item, click on the State link to view the publishing status form and select "retract" from the publishing options. classes in external methods

Since Zope's Python Scripts will not allow me to import the csv module, I wrote my own little class within an External Method. My class opens a CSV file and returns a dictionary representation of each line, one at a time. Now Zope pops up an authentication dialog when I try to call my External Method. Is there some way around this? Can someone also explain why Zope does this? I thought an External Methods was a failsafe way to write unrestricted Zope code without going all out and writing a product (which just doesn't make sense in this instance). Nathaniel

Using python script within Zopeto build basic document repository

Hi! I am new to Zope and learning! I am trying to build a very basic online document repository, that members can upload documents to. Zope will need to add extra properties to each document such as who uploaded it, when, and what section of work it falls into. (Users should be able to add sections if it is a new section of work). The users then need to be able to order the documents by author, part of project, or date to find the documents that they are looking for. Firstly is there an example of a similar system available anywhere? Secondly - I am trying to code and learn! How can I create a context which is in a folder that is different to the script? The following code stores the file: folder=container['documents'] folder.manage_addFile('', file=file, title=title) Then I need some magic line which sets a context up as the file called 'file' in the folder documents newFile= context[file] And then I will be able to write the extra properties somehow: newFile.manage_addProperty('test', 'test', 'text') Thirdly - How can I write a page which displays all of the documents in the folder in order of different properties. Ie the user can list the files in order of date, or only show the files on project1! Thank you for your time! Chris Hughes
