Look that up. Can't get my crontab -e working

This is what I did: crontab -e */2 * * * * wget http://path/to/my/pythonscript This does not work. I am probably missing something like a username or password in this line but what username do I need. Is it the main user in the acl_users, manager, of my zope or do I use the username=zope or I placed a local role to that script with manager privileges do I use that username? Thanks, Laura

Hey Jan, whenever I've seen mysterious style sheet problems, it's because my <base href="http://partners.retailpro.com/" /> wasn't or isn't set correctly. No guarantee ... well there is ... I just checked for you ... In Mozilla: <base href="http://www.hepnetcanada.ca:8080/hc/index_html" /> In IE: <base href="http://www.hepnetcanada.ca/hc/index_html" /> (who knows why ... but here's a way to fix it) in /portal_skins/custom/main_template or header, do whatever you need to do to force the proper base. Yeah, or maybe its possible to create another python script that creates a new file using the directory path from the extfile and places a .htaccess file in that directory and then writes to the .htaccess file. I created a username field in the form so I could pass the value to the python script to be written in the .htaccess file. Then, in the extfile.py the directory path is define and I can possibly use this value too. Then the rest of the content should be relatively static. Maybe, when the form is submitted the python script can be called. I'd have your extfile creation form submit to a script that adds two ExtFiles, one for the "main" file and one for the .htaccess. but then, you probably don't want the .htaccess to be visible in zope as a normal ExtFile... I don't know what you can do about that. I need to pass variables from the extfile form. I created a username field and I need to pass that field value to a .htaccess file in the /var/www/html/ path Is that possible? Also, maybe someone can point me to the right direction on this one. When I create an ExtFile and the directory paths are created how can I automatically create a .htaccess in that directory? Chris, I like the patch - page templates work great! This may be silly, but is it reasonable to think that the same idea could be used to support python scripts as well? (ie: can a file named "x.py" in a LocalFS be forced to render as a python script). I wouldn't mind working on it if it makes sense. Roy. How-to: Automaticlly Generate a Document from an HTML Form... Plone

Hi All I am trying to figure out how to do this if it is possible... 1) I would like to present my users with a Form. 2) When the form is filled out and submitted it creates a document. 3) The Doc can then "Flow" thru the Plone WorkFlow/Approval System. I cannot figure out how to create documents programmatically. I will tackle the work flow next. Any Ideas, Links or instructions would be greatly appreciated. Recommended Storage

Hi all, I've recently seen a corruption error in a FileStorage Zope installation. I've been able to recover all my data with no problems, but this causes some doubts to me. I'm working in a bigger application that will need databases of about 5-10 Gb. I prefer a slower and secure storage than a faster and more unsecure one. Reading this ZODB Storages comparisson http://cvs.zope.org/ZODB3/Doc/storages.html?rev=1.5 it seems that DirectoryStorage is what I need. Any experiences about that ? Have anybody had some problem using DirectoryStorage over reiserfs ? Can I put my customers data there and sleep quiet :-) ? Thanks in advance Santi Camps
