Hi, I have a html-file with the latest news items. See below. How can I select only the part of Buitenland with the news items ? In other words how can I filter this html ? <div><b>Binnenland</b><ul><li><a href="/novum/article.phtml?url=binnen/novum.11-07-2003.0014.xml">Ouderen depressiever dan gedacht</a></li> <li><a href="/novum/article.phtml?url=binnen/novum.11-06-2003.0011.xml">VVD dreigt EU-uitbreiding te blokkeren</a></li> <li><a href="/novum/article.phtml?url=binnen/novum.11-06-2003.0025.xml">Gevonden strafdossiers van verdachte zelf</a></li> <li><a href="/novum/article.phtml?url=binnen/novum.11-06-2003.0035.xml">Turkse ambassade: 'Het was wel een aanslag'</a></li> </ul></div> <div><b>Buitenland</b><ul><li><a href="/novum/article.phtml?url=buiten/apnl.11-07-2003.0011.xml">Kumaratunga heft noodtoestand op</a></li> <li><a href="/novum/article.phtml?url=buiten/apnl.11-06-2003.0008.xml">Bobby Hatfield van de Righteous Brothers overleden</a></li> <li><a href="/novum/article.phtml?url=buiten/apnl.11-06-2003.0017.xml">Monument voor Stalin heropgericht in Siberië</a></li> <li><a href="/novum/article.phtml?url=buiten/apnl.11-06-2003.0016.xml">Radicale Australische politica Hanson vrijgelaten uit gevangenis</a></li> </ul></div> Thanks. Zope 2.7
by Dennis Allison 07 Nov '03

07 Nov '03

FROM THE ZOPE ROADMAP Zope 2.7 was planned to be released in Q1 2003. Zope 2.7.0beta1 is released (July 21th). No date has been set for Zope 2.7 final. In 2.7 Berkely storage will be added. Python 2.2.3 will be the required platform for Zope 2.7. Zope 2.7 compiles and starts up fine with Python 2.3 but there are a bunch of unittests failing, so it's not recommended. Both Zope 2.6.2 and Zope 2.7 have a the chrism-install-branch install mechanism: ./configure ; make ; make install THE BIG QUESTION When will Zope 2.7 reach the point that it can be used for production? The production schedule seems to have slipped a bit (ummm. Isn't October really the start of 4Q).

It is possible, its just a bad idea and a misfeature that shouldn't be used. http://audible.transient.net/zope/#root -- Jamie Heilman http://audible.transient.net/~jamie/

changing port from 9673 default

Jamie: Thanks for such a quick answer. I was hoping to not have to install Apache. With the binary version of zope provided on the zope.org site, I was able to change the port number by editting z2.py. I was hoping to do something similar with the Debian version of zope, and from reading the zopectlrc man page it appeared that it should be possible to do this without running Zope's server behind Apache. Bind zope to the loopback address, leave the port as it is, and configure apache to pass requests through to your zope instance using mod_rewrite and mod_proxy, as per the instructions in The Zope Book's chapter on virtual hosting. -- Jamie Heilman http://audible.transient.net/~jamie/ "...thats the metaphorical equivalent of flopping your wedding tackle into a lion's mouth and flicking his lovespuds with a wet towel, pure insanity..." -Rimmer

changing port from 9673 default
by George Perry 07 Nov '03

I just installed zope on a debian testing (actually libranet) system (hostname guppy). This system is intended to be a dedicated server for an in-house application. I would like people to be able to access it with out specifying the port number. I changed the /etc/zopectl/zopectlrc file line from HTTP-Port: 9673 to HTTP-Port: 80 and restarted /etc/init.d/zope - but the zope welcome page was still only available from http://guppy:9673 Thanks in advance for any suggestions on addressing this. Plone: adding an event
by Kyler Laird 06 Nov '03

06 Nov '03

I need to get a simple calendar going. I thought it would be easy to install Plone and allow users to create events. It's not. I can add events, but when I try to submit an edit (even the initial one), I get an AttributeError on "form". Any advice? I thought this would work "out of the box." Some guidance would be great. I could really use some hand holding getting started. I'm willing to pay a little for the help. Please let me know if you're interested. Thank you. --kyler

dieter: I merged your zsyncer patch
by Paul Winkler 06 Nov '03

06 Nov '03

I have finally merged your patch with the zsyncer source tree, and added you to credits.txt. It's in current CVS on sourceforge. I haven't really tested it. thanks! p.s. sorry for abusing the zope list for this message but apparently dieter has blacklisted my ISP and its five million subscribers. -- Paul Winkler http://www.slinkp.com Look! re: APE w/ 2.7.0b2 copying from ZODB to fs Storage
by Brad Clements 06 Nov '03

aha, Copy/Paste works, except when trying to copy an LDAPUserFolder object. That's what causes the run-away memory usage. So .. nevermind, APE is great! .. APE w/ 2.7.0b2 copying from ZODB to fs Storage
by Brad Clements 06 Nov '03

06 Nov '03

I'm running APE 0.7.1 on Zope 2.7.0b2 with Python2.3 on RH Linux 9 I am able to get a fs mount installed using the directions in components.xml and I can create items in the fs storage area. However, when I try to copy items from a Folder that's in my ZODB and paste them into the fs Mount point, Zope appears to go into some massive memory allocation loop and eventually I get an out of memory error. (I only have 1.9 meg in my ZODB instance, about 60 items really) I recall reading somewhere that objects could not be copied between mount points, so I did a .zexp import, but when I try to import I get "ZEXP import not implemented" So .. How do I copy items out of a ZODB based storage and the fs APE storage?
