hi , i'm running Zope 2.6.2 and i noticed FSCOUNTER (1.3.4) doesn not work on it . I can assume because a i got a Zope 2.6.1 working on the same machine to check it and it works on the 2.6.1 but not on 2.6.2 . The problem ? It doesnt want to increase or to modify ( eg : if i try to give it a new value , it does not change anything , it stays as it is ... ) What kind of messages have i got to give you to see it together ? I fyou dont maintain it anymore , who is doing it ? Thanks a lot .

Instantiating Multiple Browser ID Managers

I've got a situation where different sites (within the same Zope 2.6.2 install) have different sessioning needs, and I'd like to be able to set up different browser_id_manager objects to handle the different cases. The 2.6 Zope Book suggests doing this by deleting the root browser_id_manager and instantiating new versions in the most deeply nested containers. Makes sense -- except that I'm unable (with role manager) to delete the root browser_id_manager. (I tried deleting the root session_data_manager first. That worked. But I still wasn't able to delete the root browser_id_manager). Any body got any clues I might follow on this one? How to manage root folder?

Hello, my Zope-Server is not reachable from outside. I use a Apache to rewrite the requests: RewriteRule ^/(.*) http://localhost:8080/VirtualHostBase/http/ www.centershock.net:80/centershock/VirtualHostRoot/$1 [L,P] When I access http://centershock.net/manage I can only manage the folder centershock. How can I access the root folder of the Zope Server? Thanks, Florian

Add an explicit re-write rule to go to /manage without the VirtualHost... Ex: RewriteRule ^/manage(.*) http://localhost:8080/manage$1 [L,P] That should do the trick. Make sure that's before the catchall re-write rule (the one you already have). Thanks for your thoughts. Turned out the easiest fix worked--reboot. I was initially reluctant to do this as we were unsure exactly what services this machine was hosting. We were able to determine that no other live websites were involved and that all other "known" services were running elsewhere, so we took the chance and restarted the box. The web content is now back up. I hate being left in this position with critical info (in this case, a website) running on a box that we don't have the know-how to manage. Nor is there any money to get everything moved elsewhere. Thanks again to those who replied so quickly with things to look at. You should give Zope a IP and port to start up on for the webserver. Look at the code of the z2.py, in the top it has all the of the parameters you need (don't have one in front of me now). It looks like you need to remove the first "&" so it will run in debug mode (so you can see it start from the command line) and add in a "-w 8080" to tell it to start the webserver (-w) on port 8080. multiple records update

Howdy, I am trying to update multiple customers records on the same page. I put individual customer records into lists. For example, I have four lists: field1: ['a','b','c','d'} field2: ['a2','b2','c2','d2'] field3: ['a3','b3','c3','d3'] Cust_ID: ['1','2','3','4'] How do i break these list down so that i can pass it to a ZSQL method to udpate this: UPDATE customers SET field1=a, field2=a2, field3=a3, where Cust_ID=1 Then interate until the end of each list where Cust_ID=4 Is this possible to do in DTML?
