Hi folks, I want to mask the real the id that appears in the browser url display. Is there any way to encode/decode the url in the Zope side ? Thanks for advance.

Indexing and Searching through XML files

Hi, I got lots of XML-files(about 100.000) in a directory tree on my file system. I want to publish those files using Zope/Plone. I need to be able to index them in their native format without having to upload them in the ZODB, let users search their contents through zope, and have the result displayed. Is it possible? Did anybody ever do this? Any suggestions? I'm running zope-2.6.2 and Plone-1.1. Thanks, Fab.

The HTTP_REFERER basically reloads the previous page and does not take me back to the point on the page that I was on. So it is close but not exactly what I want. In Firebird there is something called a JavaScript Console. This is telling me that history has no properties. So it looks like the problem is with the Firebird and/or my configuration of the browser. Mike, I know from experience that not all Open Source browsers support the DOM fully. How can I save variables in a session

'Delete objects' permission

Are permissions handled differently on folders than other objects? I have a community site where members should be able to add objects anywhere, but only delete their own objects. How do I achieve this? I have a folder and in it an object. If I add 'Delete objects' and 'Modify portal content' for Owner on the object I still can't delete it. If I add 'Delete objects' for Owner on the folder I still can't delete the object, but if I add 'Delete objects' for Member, then I can delete the object. How should I set the permissions to get this community policy? I've searched The Zope Book, Zope mailing lists and google without finding an answer. Maybe there isn't one ;-) Thanks, Tim

prevent quoting in tal:attributes

How can I prevent quote escaping in tal:attributes? My attribute contains many quotes itself, and ZPT automatically escapes them. Details: I want to calculate the onMouseOver attribute of <img>. This is the desired result: onMouseOver="MM_swapImage('usability', '', '/usability_on_cs.gif',0)" You see that there are many quotes... This is the Python Script excerpt which calculates the onMouseOver string: ## 'name' and 'url_on' are properly calculated... item['onmouseover']='MM_swapImage("' +name+ '", "", "' +url_on+ '", 0)' The result of this when rendered via ZPT is this: onmouseover="MM_swapImage("contacts", "", "/contacts_on_cs.gif", 0)" I need to change those " back to single quotes. Hi all , I am using ZOpe for one month and i dont now the tips yet . I would like i kind of "dtml-tree" into the navogation box of my Plone/Zope site . At least i would like the navogation box to liste the current subfolders . How should i do it ? Thank you in advance .
