Zope Calendar Product?

Hello friends, I have been away from Zope for a while. I have a Zope 2.9.3 installation (no CMS or Plone) for which someone has requested a Calendar application. From the Zope sites it is not clear whether any suitable product is available. Could anyone recommend something? Alternatively, might it be an idea to use a stand-alone Calendar application and plug it into an I-frame? Cliff

Frequent Zope crashes (Zope 2.9.8)

Hello, my Zope 2.9.8 instance crashes up to 6 times per hour. This is very unfortunate since the constant restarting brings performance to its knees. It runs under Linux in 64 bit mode on an AMD64 . I managed to catch two backtraces with gdb (see end of the mail). Both backtraces show a crash in cc_oid_unreferenced(ccobject *self, PyObject *oid) in persistent/cPickleCache.c: Either in line 576: v = PyDict_GetItem(self->data, oid); or in line 607: Py_DECREF((ccobject *)((cPersistentObject *)v)->cache); v and v->cache seem to point to heap: (gdb) print v $1 = (PyObject *) 0x5f8920 (gdb) print ((cPersistentObject *)v)->cache $2 = (PerCache *) 0x613620 Always called from Per_dealloc(cPersistentObject *self) in persistent/cPersistence.c in line 578: cPersistenceCAPI->percachedel(self->cache, self->oid); Is this a known issue? upgrade from 2.7 to 2.10 restore backup

Hi I am in the process of moving my wiki to a new machine. The new machine is unbunto 7.10. Dear all, I'm new to zope. I have planned to use zope with postgresql in a windows environment. I have installed zope 2.x, python 2.4, mxtools, psycopg2.0. I have no idea to proceed from here. I have ZpsycopgDA downloaded, but i don't no how to install it and use it in zope. It is very urgent that i have to finish a project. Can some one give some idea on how to connect zope and postgresql. I prefer a good tutorial which teaches how to use zope with pgsql. I have a simple test Zope product inheriting from Cacheable, PropertyManager and SimpleItem. Say I have a dtml method at http://myzopeinstance.com/testdtml with contents <dtml-let myvar="'hello world'"><dtml-var testproduct></dtml-let> I'd like "myvar" to be available in the__call__ method of testproduct. Every call (via a web browser) displays None for every line except #4, the getattr(self, "REQUEST", None) statement. Containment acquisition works more or less the way I would expect, i.e. if myvar is a dtml method in the same folder then the text "hello world" shows up on lines 6 and 7. (I don't understand though why the REQUEST object is always None; I thought when a DTML method calls another object the client and REQUEST parameters are passed in.) Hello Chetan, Well thank you very much! I must be very tired to forget to compile MySQL without --enable-thread-safe-client !!! It seems that MySQL-python now compiles with a warning: ld: warning in /usr/local/mysql/lib/mysql/libmysqlclient_r.dylib, file is not of required architecture But when I try to import _mysql in Python 2.4.4 shell it seems to import the module with no errors. What groupware (not CMS) on top of Zope?

Hi, I juste asked on the Plone ML if it could be used as a groupware while CMS is its first feature. Andreas (thanks Andreas) aswered me it would be a good idea to look for a dedicated solution. I would like to stick on Zope and I am looking for a solution laying on it. My feature requests are: - A webmail - A shared and individual calendar - Some file management (~5MB/File, binary or not) that would allow me to make some files public or private. - A discussion tool Indexation (for Mail, discussion, calendar and files) is not a must, but would be appreciated. Is there any packaged (or easily packageable) solution you would know on top of Zope? Thank you.
