Hi all, 1) Instead of using the textlink Next I want to use a button (form) ? How can I establish this ? <dtml-if next-sequence> <a href="<dtml-var URL><dtml-var sequence-query>query_start=<dtml-var next-sequence-start-number>"><br>Next<dtml-var next-sequence-size></a> </dtml-if next-sequence> 2) How can I check if REQUEST[''ids] is not empty when using <dtml-call "manage_delObjects(REQUEST['ids'])"> ? Hi, 1. I created a new role called 'MA1' 2. I created a CMF topic folder called 'FolderMA1' at my Plone site root, its state is visible 3. In folder security of 'FolderMA1', I configured 'MA1' a full access to the content of 'FolderMA1' When a user with role MA1 log in my plone site he can't see FolderMA1. I think it's because I don't know how to say that objects in visible states can be view by MA1 role. How can I do? Thanks. Patrick Gelin

Windows and Linux

Hi, I have developed some portal under Zope for Windows (version 2.6.1) and now I am testing it under Suse Linux 8.2. Under Windows it's working perfectly, however under Linux I get the following error "Key Error: Anonymous User". Has anyone idea's what the problem is ? Regards, Michael

Zope dies unexpectedly (segfault?)

Hello, I have a database that I am trying to update, that for various reasons, I cannot get a direct connection to. I use an external class that I have used in other situations with no problems Thus, I have a setup that looks like the following: Form -> -> script that processes the form, outputs dict -> -> script that takes dict, calls external method -> -> external method that updates db, returns num rows updated -> -> script that formats output for web -> Output display in browser I have each step here covered with try/excepts, especially the call out to the external method. Here is the text of the external method: import sys, traceback from team.database import interface def exceptional_circumstances(): return '<br>'.join(traceback.format_exception(*sys.exc_info())) def update_adapter(self, updates, key, commit=0): try: db = interface.DB() updates = db.split_update(updates) result = db.standard_update_by_key(updates, key, commit) except: return exceptional_circumstances() return result I have used this same interface before from different contexts, but when I try to use it here, Zope (apparently) segfaults. A python core file is left behind, and no trace of any exception is logged in any log that I can find. (checked /error_log, the zeo log, and the zope process log on disk) Does anybody know why this is happening? Has anybody seen something similar, or better yet, fixed something similar? Thanks, VL

TextIndexNG2 under windows

I know that it is not supported under windows, but ... Does somebody has a binary python-Levenshtein-0.7 compiled under win/py2.1.3 to share ? I cannot compile on my machine and the Levenshtein.pyd extension is not included in the prebuilt TextIndexNG2 binary dist on SF. thanks, --peppo

If this is the case, then you have to delete the references in "Subobjects", export your ZClass, import it on 2.6.x, and add the references manually. Using zope.org member development space

Hi, I've been developing a small (~3MB Data.fs) app to teach myself Zope and would like to show it to a friend in another city. My internet connection doesn't allow inbound access so that's not an option. I was wondering if I can upload the app to my member space on zope.org so my friend can look at it. If so, can someone point me to the docs on uploading? I'm using 2.6.1 with Formulator. I'd be deleting the app from zope.org when I'm finished writing it. Thanks, Tom P.
