stripping .html ending in an id

Hi, I have a quick question to someone out there. It seems that there's no easy way to do this (although I'm rather new to zope (~a week), so I could be wrong). What I need to do is take the ID variable of a page in a dtml method call and remove the .html suffix in order to use it as the title of a page. Here's the content: <title></title> what it returns for a page call "mission_statement.html" that includes the method as a header is <title>Mission statement.html</title> It would be ideal if I could capitalize and strip the .html suffix to give <title>Mission Statement</title> Sorry for the primitive question, but how can I do this? Howto on using zpt in products

Hi all, I am updating a product and as part of that update I would like to use zpt for all of my presentation. I have googled for a howto on this subject but have not found one. I have set up the .zpt files and the forms work, but I can't access properties of the product. btw. I am new to ZPT! Another logging option for Squid: we log with log_mime_headers on, which dumps a rather verbose log, but we filter this to combined format for later use and archival. Only catch is that Squid does not at current support large-file support for logs, and does die if log file exceeds 2gb, so you have to rotate frequently. Adding Custom Namespaces to ZPT?

Hi, I want to add custom namespaces and/or entities to ZPT. How can I do this? I tried searching the web, but did not find a sollution. What I want to do is something like this: <my-ns:email name="Egon Meier" /> or &author; # link to author's mail-address I know, this is possible using TAL/METAL and tags like <span metal:replace="python:my_ns.email(name='Egon Meier')" /> but this is obvious a bit longish and clumsy to type. Squid vs Apache+mod_proxy+mod_gzip

I've putting together a server (single P4, 1GB RAM) and website solution that will be using plone and have some serious traffic (getting up to around 10,000 visits per day) and server-side "dynamicity". So caching and other strategies for optimizing speed will be needed. My question is, in your experience, how does Squid match up against Apache 1.3 + mod_proxy + mod_gzip in the areas of speed and robustness? Site Root error
