I created an addon Product that patches the prev and next methods and has another view. It works together with the OrderdObjectManager. So I can order the Photos. I'll try to post this as a Product on Zope.org this week. Regards, Volker > -----Original Message----- > From: Roel Van den Bergh [mailto:roel@planetinterior.com] > Sent: Dienstag, 10. AW: [Zope] Security doubt

> > How could I avoid sending a cleartext password through the > net when I use a > > http://....../manage? How and where should I configure > what? I hope it'd be > > possible... You would need to set up an Apache-Zope configuration and by using "Cookie Crumbler" and "SSLAbsoluteURL" you can actually force login over SSL. I've done a short documentation about my setup that's unfortunately in german. If you got someone at hand who can translate it it may help http://www.dzug.org/SchreibMit/ZopeFaq/Virtual%20Hosting/Zope%2C%20Apache%20 als%20Chaching%20Proxy%20und%20sicheres%20Login Otherwise, just dive into Apache and Zope with CokkieCrumbler and SSLAbsoluteURL, did the trick for me :) /Carsten

Zope hang with some python version
by Sylvain Thénault 10 Jun '03

hello, I've experimented some problem with the latest debian zope packages. When using some products, Zope starts correctly, handle connections but never responds to request (no 'connection timeout' message, the browser wait indefinitly). I've done some investigations and it seems to be due to the python version. When running the debian zope package with the python distribution shipped with the binary zope package from zope.org, it works fine. The problem arise when using zope with the python 2.1 debian package from unstable : [syt@tux syt]$ python2.1 Python 2.1.3+ (#1, May 25 2003, 12:36:52) [GCC 3.3 (Debian)] on linux2 Type "copyright", "credits" or "license" for more information. >>> [syt@tux syt]$ dpkg -l python2.1 ||/ Nom Version Description +++-=============-==========-============================================ ii python2.1 2.1.3-19 An interactive object-oriented scripting lan Note that this doesn't seems to appear using the sarge python2.1 package, compiled with gcc 3.2 (2.1.3-18). We seem to be in compiler land there... BTW, you can get some additional information by looking at : http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=194050 Any idea ? -- Sylvain Thénault LOGILAB, Paris (France). http://www.logilab.com http://www.logilab.fr http://www.logilab.org

Hi everyone, I would like to capitalize an entry of a form before it goes into my db thus: INSERT INTO blengprojects (responsible, beamline, project_title, project_description, status,installdate_month, installdate_year,installdate, updated) values (<dtml-sqlvar responsible type="string">, <dtml-sqlvar beamline type="string">, <dtml-var project_title capitalize>, <dtml-var project_description capitalize>, <dtml-sqlvar status type="string" optional> <dtml-sqlvar status_other type="string" optional>, <dtml-sqlvar installdate_month type="int" optional>, <dtml-sqlvar installdate_year type="int" optional>, <dtml-if installdate_month> '<dtml-sqlvar installdate_year type="int" optional>/<dtml-sqlvar installdate_month type="int" optional>/01', <dtml-else>null, </dtml-if> <dtml-sqlvar updated type="string"> ) why does this give me the following???? Error, _mysql_exceptions.OperationalError: (1054, "Unknown column 'Upper' in 'field list'") SQL used: INSERT INTO blengprojects (responsible, beamline, project_title, project_description, status,installdate_month, installdate_year,installdate, updated) values ('robichon', 'id44', Upper, Upper, '' '', null, null, null, '2003/05/01' ) TIA Marie Robichon Web Task Force European Synchrotron Radiation Facility BP 220 38043 Grenoble Cedex France http://www.esrf.fr Tel: (33) 04 76 88 21 86 Fax: (33) 04 76 88 24 27

filtering Photo objects in Photofolder - View
by Roel Van den Bergh 10 Jun '03

10 Jun '03

Hi all, I'm using the Photo Folder product and it works fine. Now I want to filter the objects in a Photofolder. I've added a metatag to each photo object. Filtering the thumbnail page isn't hard. In the index_html (Sample Folder View) file I've altered the table: <table width="100%" border="0" align="CENTER" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="5"> <dtml-in expr="_.range(_.math.ceil(_.len(objectIds(['Photo'])) / 5.0))"> <dtml-let start="_['sequence-item'] * 5 + 1"> <tr> <dtml-in expr="objectValues(['Photo'])" sort="id" size="5" orphan="0" start="start"> <dtml-if expr="metatag == 'x'"> <td align="CENTER" valign="center" width="20%"><a href="&dtml.url-sequence-item;/view"> <dtml-var expr="tag(display='thumbnail', border=0, cookie=0)"> <br> <font size ="-1"><dtml-var name="title_or_id"></font> </a></td> <dtml-elif expr="metatag == 'y'"> <td align="CENTER" valign="center" width="20%"><a href="&dtml.url-sequence-item;/view"> <dtml-var expr="tag(display='thumbnail', border=0, cookie=0)"> <br> <font size ="-1"><dtml-var name="title_or_id"></font> </a></td> <dtml-else> </dtml-if> </dtml-in> </tr> </dtml-let> </dtml-in> </table> When someone clicks on a thumbnail the View page is loaded, the image is displayed and at the bottom there is a navigation bar with 'PREV' < 'INDEX' > 'NEXT' Now here comes my problem: prevPhoto() and nextPhoto() are retrieved from a python script and calculated from the image shown at that moment. How can I resolve 'PREV' & 'NEXT' filtering with the metatag? If I use if - elif -else - /if 'PREV' and/or 'NEXT' are not shown if they have an invalid metatag. Is there a solution to this? TIA,Roel.
