Hi: I got this error, when starting the Zope server again. I have had this problem before, then I found out there was another processing I did not kill still running the server. this time, I made sure I had no other processes that are running the server or making use of any files in Zope. How do I utilize manage_edit in a stand alone form?

All, I have a form (edit_file) and a method (edit) in which i am trying to use to edit a single fille. The examples below are not working. What am I missing. [Newbie Q] urgently need help on Localizer/TranslationService!

Hi, Env.: Zope 2.6.1, CMF 1.3, Localizer 1.0.1. Win2K, IE/Mozilla The problem is with appearance of translation message: I use plone's RU messages catalog for the tests and a simplest test zpt script. The translation is done ok, but the message appears is like this '????????'. Please, advice. Help needed urgent. TIA, Andrei andrei @ 40hrs . net

Imported Folder has no manage_workspace

Hi, I exported a folder from my local zope-install (2.6.1 on Debian testing) and imported it in an zope install on a Solaris Server (also 2.6.1). Now I cannot access the workspace-View of the folder on the Solaris Server, I get the login_form from within the folder. It has a separate acl_users and uses CookieCrumbler (which is also installed correctly on the Solaris machine). Is that the reason why this doesn't work? I have the same user in the roo/acl_users, but with another password. I also cannot "log in" using the presented CookieCrumbler-login-form, with either password. Andreas -- Let me put it this way: today is going to be a learning experience.

Mixing ZEO and non-ZEO instances

I'm putting together a system which will include multiple Zope instances, mostly independent, some not. Some I want to run with a ZEO backend, others I want to use the local file system for storage management. Has anyone had any experience putting together a multi-instance system where some instances use ZEO and others don't?

Problem committing zope "version" objects

Hi All, Several times I have attempted to use Zope "Version" objects to update sections of my web site. This works fine as long as I don't *create* any files. If I create a file, performing a "Save" appears to have no effect. All modified/created/delete objects remain locked by the version. Is this a general problem with Zope? Is there something that I am doing wrong?
