[HELP] Newbie & Webdav

Hello, I use Zope 2.4.4 for my Intranet sites. The HTTP server works fine, the FTP server too. But, i didn't manage to run the WEBDAV server : in fact, i don't understand how to specify the "source - port" for Webdav. I have a script like that : ....... z2.py ..... -W %HTTP_PORT% -F %PORT_FTP% How can i specify the WebDav Port ? Thanks in advance. Frédéric. PS : Excuse my english.... ;-)

Role specific access rights for Python scripts

Hello, I try to set up a user role which is allowed to vie the output of some python scripts in a certain folder. I created a new role and started by checking every single checkbox for this role in the "Security" tab of the new script. But if I select the URL of the script I get: Zope has encountered an error while publishing this resource. Error Type: Unauthorized Error Value: You are not allowed to access manage_test in this context Any hint, what might be wrong here? Kind regards Andreas.

Setting array variables from a table call

Hi, Can anyone point me to any examples on how to set an array of variables after a <dtml-in> call (Customer names) and populate a pull down menu using the select feature? Thanks. zope and forms

Hi all, I have a couple of questions: A form contains a <input name="foo:int">. If I leave the input empty, when I submit the form zope complains about "integer value expected". Ok, the empty string is not a valid integer value, but sometimes it is right to leave an input field blank. Is there a way to take ride of this or should I use string values and check the received values in then method/script? Is it possible to make zope accept dates entered into <input name="foo:date"> formated acording to DD/MM/YYYY? How can I create a new role from a python script? ftp site?

Hello zope, is there a way i can make the ftp service of zope chroot in one of the folders, depending on usernames/roles? is there a product for this? if i want to write such a thing, where should i start? thanks, k -- don't believe everything you think

I've not tried removing the Content-Type and everything else--but it's on the short list :-) Zope does does not support python external methods with the extension ".pdf". :-) Thanks for your help. Unicode Error

Hi, I installed Zope 2.6.0b1 with PyXML and all the AltTAL-Stuff needed for a i18n-Plone-Site. It works kind of, I can see translated menues, navigate around, but I cannot create new content. If I add a new document nothing happens. Only on the console, where I started zope, I get this error message. Hi all, this is not a python question this is a broken tar util on Mac OS X. Be sure to use gnutar to expand Zope and not just tar from Mac OS X. If you see a @Longlink file in the directory from which you expand Zope you have the wrong tar. Hope that helps Greeting Thomas
