updating LDAPserver from python script

Hi all, I am trying to access openLDAP server from a python script inside CMF site of Zope. I have python-ldap module installed on a linux machine. My final intention is to Add an LDAP entry in to LDAP server. Following code i have written in a python script just to get started by connecting to LDAP server and accessing the existing contents. My approach to add an entry from python script is correct or its bound to fail? import ldap ldapCon = ldap.open("localhost") ldapCon.simple_bind_s("cn=Manager,o=Lambent","secret"); print ldapCon.search_s("ou=HR,o=Lambent",ldap.SCOPE_SUBTREE,"objectclass=*") return printed During this attempt following error occured : Error Value: You are not allowed to access open in this context Then someone provided a link in which there was a solution for this error. In that the solution was to add a new directory in Products folder of Zope. Virtual Hosting and Stand Alone Zope Server Z2.Log question

Hello. I am running Zope standalone with no Apache, and a VirtualHostMonster in the site root. Zope is serving several virtually hosted domains. For example: www.xyz.com and www.abc.com Is there any way to separate out the z2.log for each virtually hosted domain (without using Apache). IE- write a separate log for each virtually hosted domain. It seems that AWStats should be able to do this, but I have had no success configuring that-- AWStats just brings back stats for the entire Zope server, including all virtually hosted domains lumped together (even with separate awstats.conf files keyed to each domain name). dtml-tree with interactive root

(My apologies if You already got this via Zope-forum. I'll avoid double-posting in the future.) I want to give the user the following functionality: 1. From some folder deep down the directory tree ("start folder") she/he may open a tree-view with the root at this start folder. 2. Interactively, she/he may create tree-views with the root shifted up by one or more levels up to the root of the Zope-tree (or wherever the rights allow). I tried to code this the following way: In the root folder there is a dtml-method called "show-tree" which does essentially this: <dtml-tree expr="REQUEST.PARENTS[uplevel]" skip_unauthorized=1 branches_expr="objectValues(['Folder','File','DTML Method','DTML Document'])"> <a href="<dtml-var absolute_url>"> <dtml-var title_or_id> </a> </dtml-tree> This method is called from the "start folder" in essentially the following way: <dtml-var standard_html_header> <dtml-unless uplevel> <dtml-call "REQUEST.set('uplevel' , 0)"></dtml-unless> <dtml-call "REQUEST.set('uplevel', _.int(uplevel))"> <dtml-call "REQUEST.set('uplevelp', uplevel+1)"> <a href="<dtml-var URL0>?uplevel=<dtml-var uplevelp>">Up</a> <dtml-var show_tree> <dtml-var standard_html_footer> This works OK. I want something like this: flag=0 if ...: <dtml-in ...> ... flag=1 </dtml-in> endif if not flag: print something else endif But I can't figure out how to change a variable initialized by <dtml-let flag='0'>. How can I do this? This is really frustrating, I feel like a total idiot asking for help about such a basic thing!
