NUXUserGroups Zope security

Hi, To get a list of users for a particular group (using NuxUserGroups) using the following python script group=context.acl_users.getGroupById(groupname) users=group.getUsers() return users I get an error: 'You are not allowed to access getUsers in this context' In order to get the list I created an external method with the following based on stuff from ZopeLABS: def get_list_of_users(self, groupName): acl_users = getattr(self, 'acl_users') groups = acl_users.getGroupById(groupName).__of__(acl_users) usernames = groups.getUsers() return usernames and it works. So to access any methods of objects from a python script or DTML I have to create an external method? Is this right. Would some kind soul explain why this is the case or if I'm doing it incorrectly or I missed something. I have read the security.declareProtected stuff on ZDG and noticed that getUsers has security.declareProtected(ManageUsers, 'getUsers'). The python script above has a proxy role of manager which has permission to 'Manage users'. Many thanks, Sion

I've got a problem when using <dtml-with> on instances of a python product : <dtml-var "MyInstance.method()"> Works fine. <dtml-in "objectValues(['MyClass'])"> <dtml-var method> </dtml-in> Works fine too. But : <dtml-with MyInstance> <dtml-var method> </dtml-with> Doesn't work. In fact instead of searching "method" in MyInstance in searches it in its container, as if the <dtml-with> didn't push MyInstance's namespace. Any idea ? Thanks in advance Jerome Alet

I/O Error: Stupid Log Write

Hi, When trying to restart the zope-server i get this error message. But i can't figure out which file zope is actually trying to write to. Can somebody please give me a hint on where i have to look? Apache, FastCGI, SSL

Hi all, I'm trying to setup an Apache server to serve Zope content along with legacy content on both http: and https: None of the HOWTOs are exactly what I want so I have been taking bits and pieces of several. Right now FastCGI and my rewrite rule works famously for http:. However when I try to access the same URL via https: I get: ====================== Forbidden You don't have permission to access /z/ on this server. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Apache/1.3.23 Server at 127.0.0.1 Port 443 ====================== What am I missing? It's something really dumb isn't? problems with rpm's

Hi, I have just downloaded the Zope-2.5.1-1.i386.rpm and Zope-zserver-2.5.1-1.i386.rpm form www.taupro.com, and installed them on Red Hat 7.3 Now I try to login with the default inituser 'superuser' passwd '123' and here comes my problems I a got permission denied message. Then I tried to add a inituser with the zpasswd script located in the /usr/share/zope/utilities directory and then put the result in the /var/zope/access file, also this didn't result. Next I tried creating a emergency user and again this didn't result. Any know about this problem??
