Hi alienoid, > What I have to do to start Zope automatically from /etc/rc.d/init.d? > Thanks in advance I don't know how you do it there, but you can try the following line at the end of your "/etc/inittab" file: zp:2345:respawn:/usr/local/Zope/start It works and restarts zope if it crashes for some reason. Webalizer and Zope
by Marius Gedminas 05 Jul '02

05 Jul '02

Does anyone use Webalizer for Zope's Z2.log? I tried to make it work, but Webalizer just barfs on FTP logs Zope mixes with HTTP requests inside Z2.log. BTW those FTP logs look somewhat wrong to me -- the port/pid/whatever is just concatenated to the end of the IP address: 10.0.7.649118 ==> 220 zeta FTP server (Medusa Async V1.18.60.1 [experimental]) > 10.0.7.649118 <== USER mg 10.0.7.649118 ==> 331 Password required. ... Marius Gedminas -- We don't really understand it, so we'll give it to the programmers.

different way to display elements in article_view
by Santagostino Pretina, Luca 05 Jul '02

05 Jul '02

Hi list, in article_view I have seen that zope is listings elements using this: tal:define="elemstruc string:element/${element/getView}" tal:replace="structure python:path(elemstruc)">Rendered Element and this returns the list of all subelements that have been posted in the article. I have figured out how each element is formatted (yellow box around the link element and so on...). My problem is that I can't figure out how to display each element in a different position. With that tal routine it returns all the elements but I can't seem to separate each one so I can display them in differents parts of my page... I have tried something like this but it doesn't work... Type: type <div tal:condition="etype/alink_view"> can anyone help me? thanks a lot Luca

As far as Python is concerned, look for the Bicycle Repair Man at sourceforge.net. Regards, Roger ? ? Gang, ? I'd appreciate a refactoring tool for python, SQL, PTs and/or ? .dtml-files. There exist several for SmallTalk and Fortran, ? but I havn't found one for the stuff we are doing. ?

by Jaroslav Lukesh 04 Jul '02

04 Jul '02

Hi all, I am sorry, if this question is easy, but I dont know solution. When I have files in directory that is rendered as STX via this method: ----8<---------8<---------8<---------8<--------- <dtml-var standard_html_header> <dtml-in expr="objectValues('DTML Document')"> <dtml-var sequence-item fmt=structured-text> </dtml-in> <dtml-var standard_html_footer> ----8<---------8<---------8<---------8<--------- So rendered HTML code looks that: ----8<---------8<---------8<---------8<--------- <html><head></head><body> <html> <body> Structured text file 1 </body> </html> <html> <body> Structured text file 2 </body> </html> </body></html> ----8<---------8<---------8<---------8<--------- Does somebody know what parameter need to be used to omit surplus <html><body> tags? Many thanks Jaroslav Lukesh

How to hide the copy, cut, paste, rename, and select all buttons
by Josef Meile 04 Jul '02

04 Jul '02

Hi, I've a zclass wich inherits from ObjectManager. Inside this class, I've more classes that are ObjectManagers as well. I'd like to prevent that the user import, export, delete, copy, cut, paste, and rename the objects inside the parent class. But I want to restore this permissions (except Import/Export) in the subclases. I've already reached the first part (delete objects and disabling Import/Export). I just do the following in the constructor method: <dtml-with "ParentClass.createInObjectManager(REQUEST['id'], REQUEST)"> Disabling Delete, Import and Export <dtml-call "manage_permission('Delete objects')"> <dtml-call "manage_permission('Import/Export objects')"> <dtml-with "Subclass1.createInObjectManager('id1',REQUEST)"> <dtml-call "manage_permission('Delete objects',['Manager'])"> </dtml-with> <dtml-with "Subclass2.createInObjectManager('id2',REQUEST)"> <dtml-call "manage_permission('Delete objects',['Manager'])"> </dtml-with> <dtml-with "Subclass3.createInObjectManager('id3',REQUEST)"> <dtml-call "manage_permission('Delete objects',['Manager'])"> </dtml-with> And the "delete" button isn't shown anymore. I tried to do the same for cut, copy, paste, and rename, but I found that I would have to disable the 'View management screens' permission. It doesn't have any sense because I want that the user view the manage interface for that object, but with some restrictions. How can I reach this? Thanks in advanced, Josef.
