ZIPFolder Fix Ignore Files w/ spaces
by eric.n.dunn＠bankofamerica.com 31 May '02

This was it! Thankyou very much! Couldn't find the code in "ZipFile.py" since "ZipFolder 0.2.2" doesn't have that specific file by default. -rw-r--r-- 1 zwww zwww 6550 May 31 05:41 ZipFolder.py -rw-r--r-- 1 zwww zwww 24360 Apr 6 2001 zipfile152.py Looked for it in "ZipFolder.py" and found it. Code change to "ZipFolder.py": # check zip file names for: # filenamepattern=re.compile(r'[A-Za-z0-9][\w\_\-\.]*$') <--- OLD filenamepattern=re.compile(r'[A-Za-z0-9 ][\w\_\-\. ]*$') <--- NEW Tested and worked perfect the first time. Files w/ spaces not ignored anymore and rendered just fine in presentation layer. You the man!!! Thanks again Eric Jens Quade <jq(a)jquade.de> on 05/30/2002 03:25:14 PM To: Eric N. Zipfile refuses to import files with strange filenames. The pattern is a bit strict... If you want to import files with spaces, find the following lines in ZipFile.py: # check zip file names for: filenamepattern=re.compile(r'[A-Za-z0-9][\w\_\-\.]*$') and change it to: # check zip file names for: filenamepattern=re.compile(r'[A-Za-z0-9 ][\w\_\-\. ]*$') (note the added blanks) jens

by Nico de Boer 31 May '02

Hello, Thanks for your ideas. I managed to solve the problem!!! This is the code: from Products.PageTemplates import ZopePageTemplate self._createZPT(self, 'ZPT_id', 'title', 'content') def _createZPT(self, parent, id, title, content): """Add a PageTemplate to the News product""" parent._setObject(id, ZopePageTemplate.ZopePageTemplate(id, text=content)) parent._getOb(id).pt_setTitle(title) Maybe you can use it? Thanks again. Greetz Nico

remove square brackets in dtml-var
by Joshua Newman 31 May '02

31 May '02

My <dtml-var mail_group> renders as: [mail1(a)here.com, mail2(a)there.com] I am trying to use dtml-var to insert multiple email addresses into a sendmail form but when I use: to: <dtml-var mail_group> I get: Error Type: SMTPRecipientsRefused Error Value: {} Multiple addresses work fine if entered as: to: mail1(a)here.com, mail2(a)there.com but I get the identical error if I try to: [mail1(a)here.com, mail2(a)there.com] Is there an easy way in dtml to shed the '[' and ']' and keep the ',' or do I have to write a python script? It's not that the python is too terribly hard, I just want to do it simply, if possible. (and it's been a long day and it's hot in chicago w/o a/c) Thanks again, joshua

EuroPython2002
by Tom Deprez 31 May '02

31 May '02

Last hours for early bird registration at EuroPython 2002 ! Perhaps we should have announced you sooner that we are now well over 100 attendees. That's already a good band to enjoy a great conference. It started pretty quick with subcriptions during minutes after the registration page was online, then we had a frightening slow down, but these last days have seen a steadily growing rate. Now, I'm really convinced you will miss a big event if you stay home while we will be drinking belgian beer altogether. :-) We will have an O'Reilly competition, with lot's of books to win. We will have the best developpers and the best sandwiches of the world. We will have nice weather and lots of discussions about Python future (EuroPython, EuroZope, PBF, ...) What will be missing ? You ? Oh no ! http://www.europython.org/Registration See you soon.

FYI: German Zope User Group (DZUG)
by Maik Jablonski 31 May '02

31 May '02

this mail announces the foundation of the German Zope User Group (Deutsche Zope User Group / DZUG).

database browsing interface
by Eugene von Niederhausern 31 May '02

31 May '02

Among the different database connection objects is there a standard interface for "browsing" the database (listing tables, columns, etc)? I noticed ZPoPyDa uses: *manage_get_tables *manage_get_table_infos while ZMySQLDa uses: *tables *columns Would it be beneficial to standardize this accross the different database adapters?
