Problem with ZWiki, manage, Attribute Error, __getslice__

Hello, I manage a number of ZWikis on top of Zope here at HP EMSO (http://www.hp.com/products1/embedded/) After creating my third ZWiki, I left the manager in charge to edit it like crazy. Now, neither he nor I can access the management page for the ZWiki. Whenever we go to http://batik.corp.hp.com/ChaipediaWiki/manage, we get the following error: Zope Error Zope has encountered an error while publishing this resource. Error Type: AttributeError Error Value: __getslice__ None of the other ZWikis are effected. No matter how I access it, from the root, to manage, down to the Zwiki, or from Zwiki to manage, I always get this problem. Even the root management screen can no longer enter into ChaipediaWiki to edit properties and pages, but just gets the above Zope Error. Are there any ideas for solutions? Can I reinstall Zope, or Zwiki? Will this destroy my existing ZWikis and Zope content? Z-SQL Method performance

my situation: Zope 2.4.2 (binary release, python 2.1, linux2-x86) ZMySQLda 2.0.8, MySQLdb Revision 1.11 My problem is the perfomance when executing a Z SQL Method selecting a huge number of records, like 'select nr, name, ... from <table> where ...'. dependend on the where-specification i have to deal with sets about =~ 10000. my mysql-client tells me, that mysql by itself takes about .02 to .04 secs to perform the query, when enterd by hand into the mysql-client. a small python-program using routines from the _mysql-module doesnt take much longer. But telling a dtml-method to use the Z-SQL-Method in an <dtml-in <name of z-sql-method>> statement, it takes about 4-5 seconds, and thats very long. Does one know how to speed it up or how to tune a z-sql-method, and whats the reason for the delay ? And: when i test a query in the Z SQL Method test-tab, i get 50 results per page, with the same speed-delay. but when i click on the <next 50 ...> link, i get instantly the next 50 records displayed. How is this perfomed and how can i achieve this in batch-processing via <dtml-in start=?? ...> ? ZFirebirdDA problems

Anyone using ZFirebirdDA and kinterbasdb? I have tried Win32 version and not able to use insert/update command. Send select statement works fine but when usinf insert/update statement and error occures. Also I have compiled kinterbasdb on FreeBD 4.5 but it ZFirebirdDA doesn't work as well. Any advice? xml-rpc with Java - binary data

Hi all, i have a little big Problem with the xml-rpc in Zope. Is it possible to transport binary Data (e.g. Images) with xml-rpc to a Java-Client ? I have written a little Java-Progi where i can receive a pure html(dtml)-Dokument (tom_htm): Part of the Java-Progi.: ........ XmlRpcClient server = new XmlRpcClient("http://localhost:8080/tom/"); server.setBasicAuthentication("xx","xx"); // Empty Parameter list. Vector params = new Vector(); // Server Call and Printout Result String result = (String) server.execute("tom_htm",params); System.out.println("Inhalt von tom_htm: " + result); } catch (XmlRpcException exception) {......} ........ The Program prints out the Source Code of the tom_htm-document, which is ok. In the same Zope-Folder (/tom) is a beautiful Picture (Pic1). When i try now to change the line: String result = (String) server.execute("tom_htm",params); into String result = (String) server.execute("pic1",params); --> I only get errors ! How can i receive the Picture or any other binary data ? How do i have to change my program ? Or do i have to modify something in my Zope-Project ? Maybe i need a addon/product ?? Just to add some weight to this point, let's search google: http://www.google.com/search?q=%22path+disclosure+vulnerability%22 I don't care too much about this bug (let's call it a bug), but it indeed has enough weight to get zope quite a bad reputation in the security community. Oh, and each and every instance of these "vulnerabilities" got patched by the vendors, so they seem to take it seriously also. cheers, oliver
