So that would give: /Control_Panel/Products/mailForm/mailForm/propertysheets/basic (for a class called mailForm) Greetz, James > > > > > > > > _______________________________________________ > > Zope maillist - Zope(a)zope.org > > http://lists.zope.org/mailman/listinfo/zope > > ** No cross posts or HTML encoding! ** > > (Related lists - > > http://lists.zope.org/mailman/listinfo/zope-announce > > http://lists.zope.org/mailman/listinfo/zope-dev ) > > >

Calling external Methods blocks ZODBCDA
by Krone, Armin 14 Nov '01

14 Nov '01

Hello, I'm calling in a External Method an another Server and waiting at this point for the externals Server's result. This works fine. This external Server askes back Zope at a different connection (Python Script) to get additional data. This works also fine if I deliver over this connection static datas. It fails, if I try to get the data from a Z ODBC Database Connection - there is no data delivered. My external Server runs in timeout and closes the connction to Zope. At this moment my Python Script runs an takes the data from the Database, but can't deliver it back t my external Server because the connection was just closed. All the scripts work by there own well but only in this conjunction they don't. Any Ideas? regards Armin Krone TeleCash GmbH Produktmanagement Internet Payment Systeme Support Internet Theodor-Heuss-Str. 8 D-70174 Stuttgart Tel. +49 (0)711 16264 924 Fax +49 (0)711 2270644 mailto:Armin.Krone@telecash.de http://www.telecash.de

RE: [Zope] quick demonstration server setup...

Hi Antwan, Actually, were running Zope 2.3.3 because there seems to be still many problems with the 2.4 series. Also for the fact that python 2 is slower and I like the snapiness of 2.3 on py1.5.2. Products are: LocalFS, CoreSession 0.9 Psycopg 1.0 on postgres 7.2 (I think?) And that's 'all she wrote'... There is an Oracle Setup file on http://www.zope.org/Members/petrilli/Oracle8i which I don't understand, if it is needed by the server or the client. May this file help me in configuring the client libraries? _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp

quick demonstration server setup...
by Antwan Reijnen 14 Nov '01

Hi all, I need to setup a demonstration server for Zope, so people can play around with it. It also needs to demonstrate some sites we are developing for our customers. I do not want to spent much time on it (it's not meant to be a online production server, just on our intranet), and I can choose for a fresh install between Suse and Redhat. The system will only be used for Zope. Maybe in time, I need to configure Zope to function behind Apache. Which installation do you guys recommend? Do you have any experience with faulty version combinations (Zope 2.3.x / 2.4.x versus Suse 7.x / Redhat 7.x) or bad uptimes? Any experience and recommendations on this subject will be highly appreciated. Thanks for the help, so far! Greetings, Antwan. Oracle
by Stephan Goeldi 14 Nov '01

The installation instructions for dco2 (www.zope.org/Members/matt/dco2) writes: "Unix users should untar the tar.gz file, and export the ORACLE_HOME environment variable to point at the Oracle installation." Does this assume, that I only can connect to a Oracle database, when it runs on the same machine? What is the way to go, when Oracle runs on a windows server and Zope on a Linux server? _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp

Re: [Zope] Indexing: ZopeSplitter and numbers

From: <sean.upton(a)uniontrib.com> > I think I'd have to jump on the bandwagon and agree that numbers should not > be stripped. I'll second the idea of a fish-bowl proposal. I view that as a bug that could be put into the collector. It seems to be a question of changing isalpha() to isalphanum(), as somebody else here had noted. Then add any other considerations about and modification to the splitting process into the fishbowl process about fixing the pluggable splitter interface and stuff. Theres no need to have 10 different proposals about almost the same thing, right?

Zope and Python Install
by Frank Stephan 14 Nov '01

14 Nov '01

Hi, I have Zope 2.4.1 installed on my machine. Now I want to write standalone apps in python. Can I use the python version that comes with Zope 2.4.1? Do I have to install Python separately? Is there a risk that this will confuse Zope? TIA Frank
