Unauthorized Within a ZClass
by jimherz＠yahoo.com 01 Nov '01

Hello All, I've created a ZClass that contains a DTML Document object within it. I'm able to create, manipulate, view, etc. the DTML Document object within the ZClass management environment; however, once I create a class instance and try to view the DTML Document component, I get an unauthorized error. I'm logged in as the manager, and I've also tried manually allowing all the permissions for the ZClass instance, but this still has not helped. Any ideas? I'm using Zope 2.4.1 on Redhat Linux 7.0 Here's the traceback data: Unauthorized You are not authorized to access parm1. Feature request area?
by James Davis 01 Nov '01

Is there an area to post features that we would like to see in zope? For example, it would be nice to have the option to create the pages graphically in the management area. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ James Davis WarChild(a)Null.net WarTech Software & Computers 210 N. Hello. I´m a new Zope user and I have a little problem using the index_html. I've made a web page and if I didn't write at the end of the URL the "/", the links inside the index_html wouldn't refer to the actual folder. They refer to the root folder. Any suggestion? RE: "ZopeTime" not defined error?
by Dave Lehman 01 Nov '01

01 Nov '01

Alright, I figured out that if I assign a user "Manager" rights, then my custom "login_form" works. However, it does *not* work if I go to my root Portal folder security tab and assign all rights to the "Member" role. So does the "manager" role have other instrinsic rights? Obviously I can't give everyone manager rights, just to work around this issue. If I stick the "login_form" in my "custom" skin folder, where would it be trying to access "ZopeTime" from that is different than the "generic" folder? And why does it think ZopeTime is not defined? --dave

"ZopeTime" not defined error?
by Dave Lehman 01 Nov '01

01 Nov '01

I'm having a problem with several DTML methods in my CMF site. When a person is authenticated as "Member" (and not "manager") there is a problem displaying some methods. But it only seems to happen if i've created a "custom" version of that form (ie. taken the method from the "generic" folder in portal_skins and made a version of it in my "custom" folder). For example, I had made a custom version of the "logged_in" method to display an extra message to the user. When the "logged_in" method gets called right after they login, is displays a "global name 'ZopeTime' is not defined" error message. However, if I remove the custom "logged_in" method and let it use the one in the "generic" folder, it works fine. So now I have the identical "logged_in" method in both folders, but when it uses it from "generic" it's fine, and when it uses it from "custom" it's broken. Any ideas? I posted this in the CMF list several days ago and didn't get any response. Can anyone offer an idea of at least where I should start looking to resolve this? Is there some permission missing from my "member" security properties? --dave Here's the traceback: Zope Error Zope has encountered an error while publishing this resource.
