How to I set permission to allow a script to executable within zope? I have a script which I have been trying to "test", but a dialog box pops up asking me to login each time, and none of the usernames/password that I tried worked.

Using the replace function in a Zope Python Script

Hello, I want to use the replace function (from the string module?) in a python script (inside zope). But whenever i tries to call the replace function, I get a name error. Do I need to do a from <module> import string or is it something else ? grokking _vh_ in VirtualHostMonster

I've just spent far too long wrestling with the VHM, but I've finally sorted it. However, I don't understand exactly what was going on, and I'd love an explanation. I was trying to get requests for http://www.foo.com/Bar/rest/of/url to look in http://localhost:8080/demo/Bar/SomeFolder/rest/of/url and I was using RewriteRule ^/([^/]+)/?(.*) http://localhost:9080/VirtualHostBase/http/www.foo.com:80/demo/$1/SomeFolde… [P] to do this. It worked, but absolute_url was resolving to http://www.foo.com/rest/of/url. In order to fix absolute_url, I found after much hair-tearing that the following worked: RewriteRule ^/([^/]+)/?(.*) http://localhost:9080/VirtualHostBase/http/www.foo.com:80/demo/$1/SomeFolde… [P] Why did the second version (with _vh_) work, but the first not? Fragmented DTML

Hi all, Would it at all be possible that one were to fragment dtml code between objects? Say you always use a header and footer, could you not enforce a <dtml-let data="SESSION.getSessionData()"> </dtml-let>between the header and footer? My thought is not as the developer is the only one that knows the header and footer are always executed in a chain. Just thought maybe someone thought of it before and had some kind of product or a suggestion how to enforce the CoreSession presence without rewriting everypage to make the data param. Thanks, Paz

SiteRoot in Zope 2.4.0

Hello all, I installed the new version of zope and I set it up using various SiteRoot objects. Everything seems to be working correctly except that the "Folder at /email/OLD" link does not seem to work. It does not follow the base set up in the SiteRoot object. Furthermore, (this is not important but might be related) the link to the style sheet that the management screen uses can not be found. Does anyone know if there is a fix to this? Thanks
