I have and use HTMLKit all the time. Have not been able to get the same functionality out of it as in HomeSite. Have not been able to duplicate the simplicity of one-keystroke online-preview of the current file. Access Rule no longer triggering

When I had ZOPE running on port 8080, all was well, and the access rule was performing admirably. However, I've since moved zope to port 80, and now it doesn't do anything. Viewing the access rule from the editor shows everything getting set properly. I've attempted reinstallation and reimporting the database, which didn't help. I'm running this as an NT Service under Win2k Server. Could someone explain what's going on? Did I miss something in moving Zope to port 80?

Python and ODBC

Hello ! we try to integrate a Python Script in Zope. This script connect to a MySQl DataBase via an ODBC llink. # open the database connexion=odbc.odbc('python_mysql/root/') curseur=connexion.cursor() # runnig the SQL query curseur.execute('select * from produits') we have imported the modules ODBC and DBI. When we run the script, zope ask to indentify us. There is an error after. We have authorized the import of these modules creating a new file called __init__.py. Is it normal that Zope ask us to identify at each running script ? Could you help us ? I believe you need to change the workflow. If members are not allowed to publish their objects, then they cannot be searched or viewed by other members...i think. Invoking a Protected CMF Method

I've written a DTML Method which builds a user roster and then accesses the portal_membership record for each of these users to output their email address. The method works fine as long as the user is a Portal Manager since the getMemberById method is protected by permission ManagePortal. I have an automated process which every so often will invoke the method (via http request) to retrieve the email addresses of all the portal users. The problem is that the method is not working properly because when the http request is invoked, the request is treat as an anonymous user. What must I do get this to work? I have tried to specify a userid:password on the http request, but Zope is not using this as the userid for the CMF access. Is there a way to specify userid/password in the URL so that I can access the DTML method which as I said can only be invoked by a Portal Manager. I've considered adding a non-Protected method to MembershipTool.py, but I really don't want to be modifying CMF. Any suggestions? hi, For the CFM product, is it possible to secure the site so that each member has a private section that is NOT search-able from any other member? Try HomeSite! Works great, easy to use and customize, save and drop in hunks of repeatable code (snippets), create your own Zope toolbars of often-used tags, etc, etc.... And the best thing?!?! Unlimited UNDO and REDO! Open a file, make a change, hit F12 for a browse-view in the same window for a look. If its not right, or breaks something just hit F12 to go back to edit and CNTL-Z (undo) back to previous and save it. Saves a lot of time and offers a nice security blanket when editing live, production stuff. And the other best thing?!?! Multiple editing windows open at a time and search-and-replace on them all. AND print out your code! I like seeing my code on paper. Built in help, wizards for most everything, CSS editor, html-tag popup helpers, etc,... Some things I have found: Works on all DTML docs and methods and ZSQL methods. Some things don't open. Easy to rename files. Not so easy to create new files (that I have found). Just keep a ZMI window open for regular management stuff. Gives new life to working with Zope files, if on the Windows platform. Script Python et ODBC

Bonjour, Nous essayons tant bien que mal d'intégrer un script Python dans ZOPE. Ce script se connecte à une base de données Mysql via un lien ODBC. # Ouverture de la BDD (Cf paramétrage dans pilote ODBC) connexion=odbc.odbc('python_mysql/root/') curseur=connexion.cursor() # Exécution de la requête SQL curseur.execute('select * from produits') Nous avons importer les modules ODBC et DBI. Lors de l'exécution du script, il nous demande une authentification. Une erreur se produit ensuite. Nous avons autoriser l'import de ces modules en créeant un fichier __init__.py. Est-ce normal qu'il nous demande de nous identifier à chaque exécution du script? Pouvez-vous nous aider?
