Hi there, www.zope.org will be relaunched this Thursday. The current www.zope.org will be moved old.zope.org and replaced with the new site. During the DNS transition and while working on the sites you may encounter outages. The transition will start on Thursday (Germany) morning. Andreas

Regarding the leakage in Shared.DC.ZRDB.Results.Results mentioned in: https://mail.zope.org/pipermail/zope/2011-January/176106.html which might very well be the leakage introduced in 2.10 that made ZSQL methods useless, what are the chances of being solved? I see that Tres Seaver made a new package, SQL Adaptor (not useful to me) because of this bug. Is it an indication the bug is too hard to fix? Fernando

is it possible to upgrade from 2.9 to 2.13?

[resending as original seems to have got lost] I got stuck with 2.9.9 because 2.10 introduced a major leakage in the ZSQL Methods. Now the number of users in my web site have increased and other leakages have become also major issue (e.g., PageTemplates.Expressions.SubPathExpr). I was considering a major upgrade to 2.12 or 2.13 and I was trying 2.13.8. However, how can I install products?? It states in 2.12 "What's new" that they are still working but in fact merely dropping Products in the site-packages does not add a product. Regards, Fernando

Startup process of zope

Hi all. I'd like to know if the startup process of a Zope2 instance is documented somewhere. I'm looking for a detailed description of what happens from when I type ./bin/zopectl start in one zope instance to when I end with a number of threads waiting to serve my requests. Since I'm actually writing it, I'd like to know if I'm duplicating work from someone else; in case someone already did some of this work, I'd be glad to contribute, if there is any need to. I'd also publish whatever I've written up to now (mostly notes taken following the code), even though it is partial in italian (of course I'll translate it first) and quite terse. Retrieving an image from MySQL

I have an image stored in MSQL.(Don't tell me its not proper do that,I know already).Anyways I need to display it in DTML. Now i installed zope2 2.13.7 and just added products.zsqlmethods in buildout.cfg and also added entry as products.sqlmethods = 2.13.3 in versions.cfg. Then run the buildout and mkzopeinstance. After instance is created, checked to add new zsql method. But still there is no option to add it. Also checked the egg file and it is compiled and buildout has ot shown any error for zsql. ZSQL not shown in list to add new method

Hello all, I am trying to install zsql methods in zope 2.13. After many retries i am able to install it using buildout. Now it is not shown in the add listbox to add new zsql methods. What is going wrong? Normally when it is installed using buildout, it should be available in the listbox to add new zsql method. Please give a solution for this. Thanks, CPKulkarni
