squishdot IOBtree dependency problem

I am trying to install squishdot-1-1-0 with zope-2.3.0. When I try to restart Zope after unpacking squishdot in the Products dir, I get the error File /usr/local/Zope/lib/python/Products/Squishdot/__init__.py, line 122, in ? File /usr/local/Zope/lib/python/Products/Squishdot/Squishdot.py, line 161, in ? File /usr/local/Zope/lib/python/Products/Squishdot/SquishSite.py, line 13, in ? ImportError: No module named BTrees.IOBTree SquishSite.py line 13 reads 'from BTrees.IOBTree import IOBTree'. I notice that I have IOBtree c src files and shared libraries in my zope distribution: nitace:/usr/local/Zope> find . -name "IOBTree*" ./lib/Components/BTree/IOBTree.c ./lib/python/IOBTree.so Is my build incomplete? More problems with postgresql users and zope.

I'm have some more problems with adding database users to a postgresql database. I've got a ZSQL method that looks like this: Args: merchant_name password Template: insert into pg_shadow ( usename, usesysid, usecreatedb, usetrace, usesuper, usecatupd, passwd ) select <dtml-sqlvar merchant_name type="nb">, max(usesysid) + 1, 'f', 'f','f','f', <dtml-sqlvar password type="nb"> from pg_shadow; create table dummy (id int4 primary key); grant select, insert on dummy to <dtml-var merchant_name>; (The user add operation is a direct insert into the pg_shadow table as 'create user' wraps itself in a transaction and fails to work from a ZSQL method as a results.) The problem - this works inside a transaction from the console, but fails when run through a Popy based DA with this error: Error, PoPy.ProgrammingError: ERROR: aclparse: non-existent user "foowww" Version are Popy/ZPopyDA 2.0.2, Zope 2.2.5, Postgresql 7.0.3 So what's going on here? Am I better off with a different adapter? John

No module named ST???

Hi All, I've just started getting the error "ImportError: No module named ST" when trying to use the online zope tutorial and Zwiki. It seems to have started when I upgraded from 2.3.1 to 2.3.2 but it could be something else as I've been adding/deleting a few products. Any ideas? Regards, Dan

prevent direct (only) access from url

is there a way to prevent direct (only) access from url to a document as an anonymous user on a zope site. my problem is, that i have the users stored in database and a cookie based access control. for this reason it would very helpful to me to have docs that can only called from other docs, but not from the url (browser) maybe there is another solution for this problem... thanx

Strange ODB/folder problem

I have about 300 folder objects in my ODB. Running 2.1.6 on Linux. One (and maybe more) of the folders are not accessable by top-level admin or manager. And by not accessable I mean, I can't go into it, if I try to read its object values I am prompted to login and I get an unauthorized error. External methods and DTML ?

Hi, I am using Zope to build a front end to a bunch of Unix processes. I need to use external methods to read/write files and kick off the jobs. In these external methods, I use DocumentTemplate.HTMLFile() to build the HTML forms for data entry. My problem is that I don't seem to be able to hook the DocumentTemplate.HTMLFile() to a DTML file created in Zope. Therefore I have to create the DTML files manually. This isn't too bad, but when I change the DTML files during development, Zope seems to have cached the old copy and I often end up having to kill off the Zope server and restart it just to try out the new version of the DTML file. This is annoying and time consuming. Is there some way to get the files reread each time? Failing that, is there a way for an external method to access a DTML file that Zope knows about (and will that help me with this refresh problem)? I am pretty new to Zope (a week or so). If there is an easier way to do all this, I would be happy to hear it. - Gardner

ok. when you try to view http://hostname:8080/ it raises an authentication box, right? What does it say if you click cancel? Is it: Unauthorized. You are not authorized to access this resource. If yes, then you've got me stumped.
