Has anyone out there ever been able to work with Julian dates with ZOPE? If you are unfamiliar with a Julian date it is the year followed by the number of day. example: today is 01134 day. 01 is the year, today is the 134th day of the year. Thanks.

Hi Neil, I handle your problem like this in my MySQL queries: SELECT CONV(MONTH(Birthday), 10, 10) AS BirthMonth ...yaddayaddayadda The CONV function "Returns a string representation of the number N, converted from base from_base to base to_base." So in my case, MONTH was returning a Long data type which was displaying the 'L' in my query results. I use CONV to convert the Long in base 10 to a *String* representation of the number in base ten. Give Anon permission to "Access Contents Information". I was running behind Apache, but got rid of that so clear things up a little. There is a Zope root acl_users with 2 manager accounts. The root folder is set up for the Manager to do everything, Anonymous can only view things, and Owner does nothing. I can do anything I want to the site except View the content. Unique ids for each object

Alright so for my latest project Im thinking I need to implement a unique number on each Zope object that obeys certain rules. For example increments on an edit, doesnt on an import etc. Anyone tried that or can give me a clue where to stick it in? Somewhere in or just above the ZODB would be ideal... Cheers. -- Andy McKay.

Well, Rahsheen, what did you do to bring zope to this state? Is zope running behind Apache or a different proxy? Do you still have an acl_users folder in the Zope root? What are the current permissions settings for the root folder? Please give us more to work with than, "everything is all broke." Thanks. Log-In to View?

Why is it that whenever I try to View anything I'm prompted to login? The permissions clearly allow anonymous access (even for the Root). I would really appreciate some help on this permissions problem. Zope is extremely useless right now since I can't View anything or access anything Anonymously. All I can do is create/delete/modify things. Session Tracking w/ login management?

Is core session tracking going to be integrated into the access system in future zope versions? My real question is: will we be able to redirect users to a login screen when they try to access unauthorized pages, or their login has expired? And, will it be able to redirect people to their originally requested page after they verify access? All, I'm trying to determine which application is favored as the "Session application" to use with Zope. From what I have seen of CoreSessionTracking, this would be what I'd be interested in; but as of last Friday, I saw that it had some bugs with its timeout property. Is there a product that Zope endorses? Or one that the community endorses?
