ZServer Must Be Continually Re-Started

Hello, I have the same (?) problem with a site running on our Zope server (Zope 2.3.0) -- The site just hangs from time to time (the Zope processes are still running, and not taking any more memory than usual, but ZServer is not responding to GET requests.) A stop/start cures the problem (until it happens again.) This site is a popular site, and gets spidered a lot, so I wonder if it is a thread consumption problem. I have written a Python script to monitor a Zope installation (authored it for just this problem) that is available from my Zope.org page, http://www.zope.org/Members/willdawg . Konqueror and enctype="multipart/form-data"

Guten Abend. After spending too much time trying to understand why the STX_Document product works perfectly with Netscape but doesn't with Konqueror, I found this: If you use a form (in this case: in the edit_form in this product) with enctype="multipart/form-data", using Konqueror creates an attribute (in this case: uploaded_body) with a single linefeed character for an empty file input, using Netscape the attribute is empty. This only happens when using enctype="multipart/form-data". It has already been reported to the KDE Bug Tracking System. Cheers, Nils

Not mad, definitely worth a poke around. I noticed this first with 1.10 on a production site. It would chug away happily during the day then die when I first opened a management screen the next morning. It seemed that it was that first management screen which caused bother - when serving ordinary pages after a long period of inactivity, it seemed happier.... Hi, I need to migrate/upgrade an old Zope/Squishdot to a new server with the latest versions of Zope Squishdot. I failed importing directly the posts. So I need to have the Old Squishdot 0.3.2 an migrate progressively to the latest version. 1/ Has somebody got aroadmap for doing this safely. 2/ Who can send me a tgz of Squishdot 0.3.2. (Can't find it at squishdot or zope sites!) Thanks in advance ! Gilles

Webdav security(hole?)question.

Hi All, I have a weird security problem with my Zope installation. I'm now running Zope 2.3.2 on Windows98, but the problem also occurred in Zope 2.3.1. I installed a Webfolder in my explorer, to gain access via Webdav to the Zope Server. It did'nt require a username/password to gain full access to the server... I tried to change my password from within Zope, but that did'nt change a thing... I can walk in, without authentication needed...! I was worried about this, so I decided to test Webdav on some Windows2000/IIS5 servers on internet too, to see if they required authentication. And a shocking 1 out of 4 servers I tried, where completely open to Webdav... I could retrieve directory listings, and I also had WRITE privileges. Some very important, large websites contain this accesshole. How is this possible???? How can I fix this hole in my Zope installation? Can I disable Webdav access completely, if there is no short term solution? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, greetings, Antwan Reijnen.

Trailing 'L' after number values

Hello, I am getting integer numbers from mysql with a select clause. The values are stored as int types, however when I retrieve them via a Z SQL method and show them on a page, they display with a trailing 'L'. e.g. 12L instead of 12 Does anyone know why this happens. It also occurs when I test an sql statement. However it has only recently started to do this and I am not sure why. Thanks Neil Blue

Why does the following script returns an attribute error? for x in context.shopping_cart.test3: print x while test3 only contains return [1,2] Tom.
