How do I personalize my error messages?

I changed the standard_error_message file but whenever I recieve an error my changes are not reflected. I have tried restarting the server and this did not help. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Sync test -> production

Hello, after several weeks I finaly got my Zope site working. Now I would like to move it to my production server. I can't export the root folder and reimport it on my production server (I get some nasty errors). So I copied all my objects to a new folder and exported that one. Did work. But now I had to make some updates. I tested these changes on my test server, but how to sync with the production server? Namespace questions

I suspect I'm merely being dense, but I'm struggling to understand how Python scripts and DTML documents deal with the Zope namespace. As an example, assume that I've defined a /lib/foo/bar Python script, and in /tests/foo/lib/test1 I define a Python script that tests the functionality in /lib/foo/bar. container.lib.foo.bar works from test1 in other paths, but once 'lib' pops up in the local environment, things seem to break down. I've tried getPhysicalRoot(), but that doesn't seem to be defined in container or context. Can someone point me to a document explaining how to resolve these problems? Ideally, I'd like to also find out any best practices on organizing the Zope namespace. Thanks in advance. -- -- John R. ZSQL Methods: surprising behavior, subtle bug

Hi, We just found a very subtle bug in our own application, which was caused by what I think is a surprising behavior of ZSQL methods. Actually, it's a feature of the query results. What we see is that they acquire the environment in which they were created. Essentially, our code did this <dtml-in query0> <dtml-let result1=query1 result2=query2> <dtml-with result1[0]> <dtml-with result2[0]> <dtml-var returned-by-both-query0-and-query1-but-not-query2> </dtml-with> </dtml-with> </dtml-let> </dtml-in> (Of course, the real setting is more complex, e.g. the dtml-withs are in a separate dtml-method, called within the let) To our surprise, the dtml-var picks the value of the variable as returned from query0. This is, I think, because this value is acquired by result2 where it is defined. I've checked this by accessing the variable as an attribute of the query-result row. Get browser information from HTTP_USER_AGENT..

Hello! I would like to get the information about user's browser but when I add these following tags in my dtml header, the result from the third condition is always true. Question arisinfg from Beehive ZClass Tut

Hello. This is a question for someone familiar with the Beehive ZClass tutorial. Everything is quite reasonable. However, in the add_instance_html DTML Method, there is a dtml-call to Bookclass_add(_.None, _, NoRedir=1). I understand that "_" is the default namespace, but I don't get the "_.None" parameter. Product and accessing DTMLDocument properties

I have a product which I'm trying to develop and I would like to access the properties of a DTML Document and in the future other objects such as Folders. I have been able to get the default properties (ID) by looping through the tuples returned in obj.propertyItems() or by looping through the list returned by obj.propertyIds or even by accessing obj._properties The above methods work well for the default properties of an Object. However, these methods do not return added properties I have made to the DTML Document through the Zope management interface. What methods do I need to use in order to get a list of *all* properties on a DTML Document/object? I have been using DocFinder to display all of the methods available for a DTML Document, but haven't found what I need. (BTW, _excellent product!!). If this is already covered in a HowTo or somewhere else, please let me know and I will check it out. Thanks in advance for any help!
