RE: [Zope] Wampum install problem

Thanks everyone. I downloaded and installed the full 1.5.2 python source. Configured it with --with-thread. In order to get the Makefile.pre.in to work I had to run it as follows.. # make -f Makefile.pre.in Makefile VERSION=1.5 installdir=/usr/local I'm now a happy guy, kinda... Now I have to figure out how to get Wampum to work with E-Tailer :-) Jamey > -----Original Message----- > From: James Sintz [SMTP:jsintz@ohiohistory.org] > Sent: Tuesday, February 06, 2001 12:04 PM > To: 'support(a)codeit.com' > Cc: 'zope(a)zope.org' > Subject: [Zope] Wampum install problem > > Per the instructions I have downloaded and run make on the cybercash c-api > within the ZCCcrypt directory. > > However, when I try > > make -f Makefile.pre.in boot (within > <zope>/lib/python/Products/Wampum/ZCCcrypt/) > > I get the following error > rm -f *.o *~ > rm -f *.a tags TAGS config.c Makefile.pre python sedscript > rm -f *.so *.sl so_locations > VERSION=`python -c "import sys; print sys.version[:3]"`; \ > installdir=`python -c "import sys; print sys.prefix"`; \ > exec_installdir=`python -c "import sys; print sys.exec_prefix"`; \ > make -f ./Makefile.pre.in VPATH=. srcdir=. \ > VERSION=$VERSION \ > installdir=$installdir \ > exec_installdir=$exec_installdir \ > Makefile > make[1]: Entering directory > `/usr/local/Zope225/lib/python/Products/Wampum/ZCCcrypt' > make[1]: *** No rule to make target `/usr/lib/python1.5/config/Makefile', > needed by `sedscript'. I've had the exact same problem with DCOracle. There, we just compiled the module with a non-zope full python distribution and used the object files generated within Zope. It works, but I suspect it causes problems. A real solution, probably, is to move to a source (rather than binary) Zope distribution. We haven't gotten around to it yet. Hope this helps, Shai.

RE: Using results of SQL in form

In explanation of Ryan's response: ZSQL methods understand only named arguments. It should be <dtml-in "getVideoSQL(<arg-name>=pCode)"> where <arg-name> should be replaced by the name getVideoSQL expects. Arguments passed by place are simply not recognized.

If I would need to look for it, I would go via "http://www.python.org" -> SIG's -> XML-SIG. Dieter

It probably means each thread will open its own connection (and not share a single one). Dieter

try going to http://yourserver/acl_users/setDomainAuthenticationMode?domain_auth_mode =1 # Domain authentication support. This is a good candidate to # become deprecated in future Zope versions. -Randy > -----Original Message----- > From: Burwell, Becky <burwell(a)parc.xerox.com> > [mailto:burwell@parc.xerox.com] > Sent: Tuesday, February 06, 2001 10:35 AM > To: 'zope(a)zope.org' > Subject: [Zope] Going from Zope 2.1.6 to 2.3.0: security issue > > > We are in the process of moving from Zope 2.1.6 to Zope 2.3.0 > > We had some web pages that we wanted to restrict to people just at > our research lab. > > We did this by creating a role called "localUsers".
