Javascript obfuscator and Zope

Hi list, I am wondering if anyone is obfuscating JavaScript using a python script or product. I did some googling but nothing cropped up. Seems like a nice idea unless the realities of javascript obfuscation make the exercise pointless. Any thoughts? David

I understand. So what is the typical value to use for pool-size given a certain threads number: n+3 ? Because under some conditions you can actually have more than 4 connections in use. What did your Zope server do in 2004?

I was looking at stats this morning for my Zope installation and thought it would be fun to share with others what you are running and how many hits your Zope server did this year (not counting the last 3 days of course). Pages: 4,025,657 Hits: 21,783,750 Bandwidth: 68.27 GB Hardware: AMD 2.133, 1.5 GB RAM, RAID 1 w/ 2 x 36GB SCSI Zope: 2.7b4, CMF 1.4, Plone 2.0 and many products That is almost 30% more than I did last year. ZServer threads and pool-size question

Hi, Can anyone tell me why, by default in a zope instance config file, the connection pool size is 7 while the number of zserver threads is 4? Why not 4 and 4? Thanks. The default values for thread number and connection pool covers all but the most exotic use cases. So, are you telling me that the ideal configuration is using all default values (connection objects cache size, ZEO cache size, threads and connection pool)? More threads and connection also means more caches that need to be updated/invalidated when you modify an object. There is no "typical value". Changing the thread number and pool size puts you *way* off-road, fiddling with it should be avoided. You will have to experiment if you really think you need to change that setting. More connections -> more RAM usage. How to get hands on url with hash?

Is it possible (or even intended, did'nt read any RFCs regarding this) to retreive any url like http://www.example.com/index_html#hash (<- note: hash!) from the request? I need this for a login-redirect, the user clicks on a link like the one above and zope needs authentication (done by CookieCrumbler). I store the referrer in field called came_from where I can redirect (CookieCrumbler does this) the browser to after login. What do you think? Jürgen

Zope3 - where to start?

Hi :) I'm a total newbie to Zope and I would like to learn it... Unfortunatelly I can't find any good documentation to start with (it could be that I'm a very bad researcher)... All of the Zope3 documentation on zope.org is about developing it and not about using it :( Is there a "ZopeBook" or something similiar for Zope 3? Could you please recommend some place I could start learning it (articles, tutorials, etc.)? Please excuse my poor English. Best regards, Crocodil

find ZClasses instances

Hi, I get to a setup where ZClasses could still be used : one ZClass is installed in one of the product. I need to find out if there are any instance of the ZClass in the ZODB in order to migrate them to sthing saner. I have tried to use the manage_findResult method, passing it the ZClass name as meta_type. I got no result. But I am not sure the ZClass name is its meta_type.
