Anyone used Pyro (Python Remote Objects)?

I'm looking at a way to set up a distributed system, distributed for performance and fault-tolerance. I'm pretty sure about using Zope and Python, and I've been looking at Pyro http://www.xs4all.nl/~irmen/pyro.html To handle the remote service accesses. So... 1) Has anyone used this with Zope? It seems as if a client-side management interface would be possible, allowing pointey-clickey access to remote services. This is a bit beyond my Zope understanding at the moment. 2) Pyro uses TCP connections to exchange data. Will Zope allow multiple concurrent RPC calls (i.e. one per thread)? 3) Any other options I should look at[1]? I'm mostly interested in wrapping some business logic around the database and putting it on a different machine for performance and security reasons. -- cary [1] I know, I know. 2.2.0A + Squishdot

1) Zope 2.2.0 Alpha seems to break Squishdot. The query function seems to have moved from Lexicon.py to UnTextIndex.py. Help with Content Managers Guide - creating configuration interfaces

Folks - I've gotten a bit lost in the Content Managers guide - starting at the creating a configuration interface. I've tried to follow the inconsistencies between graphics and text, and some nonsequitors, but I can't seem to pull it all together. To wit: I have created a home folder with index_html in it. I've copied it to the product folder, HomeSite, that I created. I've created the DTML method, designer, in the Control Panel/Products/HomeSite folder. I've created the DTML method Builder in the same location. At this point in time, I believe my Product is complete. Now what do I do? I've also created a factory as outlined in the documentation. What do I do with this? I'm not sure how to test & play with this to see what I actually did and whether or not it works. Can anyone give me a hand? Is anyone using Zope Studio? If yes, what do you think? Also, I can't seem to get to the zope.classic web site, does anybody know how to download zope studio using cvs? If yes, could you send me the instructions? Thanks ahead of time, Luis.
