multiple domains on one zope server
by Brian Smith 04 May '00

04 May '00

I'm just trying to understand how I can use Zope, I want to server multile domains from one zope server, with the goal being the ability to create client web sites and give them zope user access to modify content via the web, they don't want to know anything about web design. Am I barking up the correct tree in thinking that zope is my answer? Brian Smith

Stupid question

I have a stupid question, but i was not able to solve it by myself... I want to create objects (folders, images, files) without using the management side of zope. For example i want a generic user be able to put a file in a folder. Thanks, Bruno ______________________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? But in this case best way is really to go with the document mentioned above. Hi, one more time, very sorry, but I m still blocked on a silly problem: In a dtml method (builder) I have: <dtml-var "index_html.raw"> <dtml-var "REQUEST['new_index_html']"> which gives me the code of my local index_html method, and the new raw I want it to be.... What would like to do is simply: <dtml-var "index_html.raw"> = <dtml-var "REQUEST['new_index_html']"> I want my index_html.raw being equal to my new_index_html var!!! I can not find the dtml syntaxe to do this very simple thing...... help, please, I feel ridiculous for working on it since two days..... Pierre, more and more desesperate!!!!

RE: [Zope] Newbie date/time + MySQL problem

Just figured this one out myself a week or two ago. I use something like this: <dtml-var date fmt=aCommon> If you are using a Zope Date/Time object, this should work. -Curt > -----Original Message----- > From: jeffr(a)odeon.net [SMTP:jeffr@odeon.net] > Sent: Tuesday, April 25, 2000 12:02 PM > To: zope(a)zope.org > Subject: [Zope] Newbie date/time + MySQL problem > > > Greetings folks, > > I've got a record in an SQL database that contains a date > field (2000-02-25 for example). > > I'm generating a table from an SQL query. simple enough: adding a folder???
by Marco Mariani 04 May '00

04 May '00

I've taken my method and cut away almost everything. Now why doesn't this work? def NewArticolo(self,REQUEST,RESPONSE): r='' upload = self.upload upload.manage_addFolder('nuovo_folder') r=r+ upload['nuovo_folder'].id + ' added.' upload['nuovo_folder'].manage_clone(upload['01.jpg'],'nuova_fotografia.jpg') return r I call it as an external method. "self" contains a folder called 'upload'. It gives me the following: Error Type: AttributeError Error Value: 'None' object has no attribute 'get' [...] File /var/lib/zope/Extensions/upload.py, line 35, in NewArticolo (Object: ElementWithAttributes) File /usr/lib/zope/lib/python/OFS/CopySupport.py, line 284, in manage_clone (Object: ElementWithAttributes) File /usr/lib/zope/lib/python/OFS/CopySupport.py, line 362, in _verifyObjectPaste (Object: ElementWithAttributes) AttributeError: (see above) If I comment out the .manage_clone, the .id works and prints out "nuovo_folder added" (but I don't see the folder in the management interface). Why must life be so hard? Thanks.

Re[2]: [Zope] wget to manage zope - manage_restart
by Gustin Kiffney 04 May '00

That works great! I didn't know you could do that. You're a genius! I'm an idiot!! I still do wonder why the wget of /Control_Panel/manage_restart causes Zope to keep running but close data.fs. That seems a bit weird. But this works, so I'm happy. ____________________Reply Separator____________________ Subject: Re: [Zope] wget to manage zope - manage_restart Author: tdickenson(a)geminidataloggers.com Date: 5/3/2000 4:26 AM On Thu, 27 Apr 2000 16:50:05 -0400, "Gustin Kiffney" <Gustin_Kiffney(a)fd.org> wrote: >and the only way to get zope going again is to manually restart it in NT Control >Panel using the Services dialog box.
