caelndar tag and virtual appending folder
by Adam Gotheridge 28 Mar '00

28 Mar '00

Just curious, but I am using a rewrite rule from apache (same things happens if append the folder to the URL using site access) and the controls for the calendar keep appending the root folder of the site. For instance, jobs.domain.com correctly displays items from the /jobs folder in zope, but the calendar controls keep appending jobs as I navigate the calendar like after a few times I get jobs.domain.com/jobs/jobs/jobs/jobs/jobs/myCal. Is there anyway around this? thanks

Somebody, please give me a clue?
by Sean, Sharon & Kyle Harbour 28 Mar '00

I'm a Zope newbie, and I could use a clue here, fellows. I need to back out a change in Zope, but the change has made the management interface unuseable. Can I back out changes manually any other way? Thanks in advance, Sean Harbour

multipart content type
by Terry Kerr 28 Mar '00

28 Mar '00

Hi, I need to get zope to server multiplart content. The problem I have is that Zope always puts its own header with a content-type, content-length, etc on each RESPONSE. Is there any way to stop zope doing this? This is a problem because the RESPONSE specifically needs to look something like this: Content-type: multipart/mixed --Here-is-my-really-really-unique-boundary-text-that-doesn't-appear-anywhere-else! Content-type: application-compressed/zip {contents of .ZIP file, character for character} Here-is-my-really-really-unique-boundary-text-that-doesn't-appear-anywhere-else! Content-type: text/html <html> <head>...</head> <body>...</body> </html> Here-is-my-really-really-unique-boundary-text-that-doesn't-appear-anywhere-else!-- I can set the content-type that zope returns by using RESPONSE.setHeader, but i cannot control what else is put in the header, and the order of the header attributes. This causes a problem with multipart messages because the boundary string needs to directly follow the content-type: multipart/mixed, and the first message part content-type needs to directly follow that. Any suggestions? terry -- Terry Kerr (terry(a)adroitnet.com.au) Adroit Internet Solutions Pty Ltd (www.adroitnet.com.au) (03) 9888 8522 0414 938 124

anonymous Products?
by mindlace 27 Mar '00

27 Mar '00

Zopistas, I need to have a dtml-method that does manage_clone, manage_changeProperties, and manage_users. It has to let an anonymous user do this: I have to set up accounts for people automagically. I cannot seem- either with a product or just a straight method- to give it the permission it needs to be called anonymously. If anyone could give me a hint as to how to achieve this, that would be great. I looked at http://yyy.zope.org/Register/register.html , but I cannot seem to get the dtml code for the actual new-user-maker. -- http://mindlace.net __________________ mindlace(a)imeme.net I don't want The Truth but I wouldn't mind a Big Analogy.

Hm - what we need is someone running on Solaris who can get crashes, who also has access to purify. We're moving from linux to Solaris at the moment, and I'll be getting hold of purify to try and track down this damn problem. FW: [Zope] using MySQLdb 0.1.2
by Baker, Dennis (sjmr) 27 Mar '00

MySQLdb is the python client (driver) for MySQL. ZMySQLDA is the Zope Database Adaptor which interfaces with MySQLdb to access the MySQL database. As far as getting it to run on NT, good luck. Under Debian the whole process looked like this: apt-get install ZMySQLDA I let some poor Debian developer worry about how to configure the two and make it all work. -----Original Message----- From: Chad Streck [mailto:chads@adci.com] Sent: Monday, March 27, 2000 8:11 AM To: Hugo Ramos Cc: mailing_ZOPE (zope.org) Subject: Re: [Zope] using MySQLdb 0.1.2 My understanding is that the MySQLdb is a patch/better driver to the ZmySQLDA and you need both products installed to use and you access the MySQLdb through the ZmySQLDA product. chad >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Original Message <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< On 3/27/00, 8:50:26 AM, "Hugo Ramos" <hramos(a)ruido-visual.pt> wrote regarding [Zope] using MySQLdb 0.1.2: > Yellow, > I don't know about all you but I'm trying to use MySQLdb 0.1.2 on NT4 + > SP6a + Zope 2.1.4 > The Installation Instructions aren't to precise on using it on win32 > platforms and Zope doesn't show me the MySQLdb on the product list. Made no difference here either. In desperation, I moved the server behind an apache using fastcgi. Same problem persists...random crashes with aaiiieee 11 and 256 in the debug log, often with core dumps. May be time to move away from the Lintel box (stock redhat 6.1, 2.16 src install, pII350, 256mB ram) - I don't see this on a sun box I'm also running. Does this happen with binary installs ? Is it just redhat 6.1 (we didn't see this on 5.2!)? One problem is that the zmonitor usually works - the server restarts itself and users may only notice a long delay. I see it because I'm watching the logs anxiously. jon prettyman <jprettyma-(a)acm.org> wrote: original article:http://www.egroups.com/group/zope/?start=27180 > Setting DEBUG to 1 had no affect on my server. Log files
by Bruno Grampa 27 Mar '00

27 Mar '00

Hello, i'm a fan of statistics, i want to know how many hits my sites have received, from which country, how long, etc. etc. I run several programs to analyze the logs from Apache and Zope but, i don't know how to split the log files of Zope for different sites. In my situation i have some web based only on Apache, as virtual hosts where i can specify which log file to use for that single entry; some are on Zope, virtual hosts done using SiteAccess and ProxyPass. Mine problem is that i want one single different file for every virtual host i have on Zope. Is there a solution? I also have problems with kill -hup, it doesn't work with python, so to take the daily log i have to stop Zope, take out the log and then start it again. Ok, it's not a big problem, but that single minute of pause it's not making me happy! Thanks, Bruno

i want to return a table from an external method what should be the format ?
by sathya 27 Mar '00

I want to format data returned from a mainframe query and format it as a table similar to the return from a sql query so that I can use dtml-in. Any pointers to how the format of this buffer should be ? can you point me to some code I can look at or docs that describe this. Thanks sathya -- ########################## necessity is the mother of invention ##########################
