Is Zope suitable?

Hello! I have some questions about Zope and I thought I ask them before spending alot of time reading the documentation. Can I install zope on a apache system WITHOUT being root? My ISP is running apache on a Solaris 5.6 system. I want to create a system that lets any user create his own User Data Record. The user data record will contain data about the user, e.g. Name, email address, etc. This record should only be editable by the user (and admin) with somekind of login. This user data must then be searchable! Listings on all or some of the data should be able to present in different sorting orders, e.g. Lastname, country, etc. Is Zope suited for this kind of system? Hi, I have a simple question - how do I use the fmod function in the math module with dtml ? I've tried something like this(and a lot of variants): <dtml-if expr="_.math.fmod(x,y) == 0"> do something </dtml-if> What is it for: I have some words returned from a search which I want to be displayed like this: word_a word_b word_c word_d word_e word_f word_g word_h word_i Thanks in advance. Curious FreeBSD problem: Too many open files in system

Has anybody seen this before? I seriously doubt my maxusers setting is the problem -- this usually indicates an infinate openfile loop. Anyway, the short of it is that Zope isn't starting. I'm using FreeBSD 3.4 and Python 1.5.2. Thanks! logical operator in dtml-if

I am doing some error checking with <dtml-if>, simply to check that some variables exist, however I can't seem to find a syntax that ZOPE agrees with to use AND. what I want to do: <dtml-if Var AND anothervar AND yetanothervar> render page <dtml-else> you have to enter details in all the fields </dtml-if> I know this is a messy way to do it, and I'd appreciate all suggestions. Including a bunch of binary files in Zope

Hi I've got a load of files (PDFs, TIFs) that needs to be accessible from within a Zope application. I need to be able to link to them so people can download them. What is the best way to go about it? If I add them into Zope (ie [Add new item]>[File]>[Browse]... etc is there an easier way of doing it? I've got hundreds of files to add and I don't want to do it using the HTML interface. If I have the files in directory outside of Zope how do I reference them? mxDateTime and mxODBC

Has anyone got these linked in with Zope esp on NT? Perhaps its my lack of knowledge of python modules but I just can't seem to get past the DateTime name conflict. I've written a mxODBC DA but can't even get off first base with testing it.

caelndar tag and virtual appending folder

Just curious, but I am using a rewrite rule from apache (same things happens if append the folder to the URL using site access) and the controls for the calendar keep appending the root folder of the site. For instance, jobs.domain.com correctly displays items from the /jobs folder in zope, but the calendar controls keep appending jobs as I navigate the calendar like after a few times I get jobs.domain.com/jobs/jobs/jobs/jobs/jobs/myCal. Is there anyway around this? thanks
