worldpilot INBOX error
by daniel＠denverdomain.com 20 Feb '00

20 Feb '00

Hi, I keep gettinh this message when I log into worldpilot. I'm using UW IMAP on Linux (RH6.1 2.2.14). It does authorize my username though, as I have access to everything else in worldpilot. And sometimes, it will work but will hang for quite awhile, when it does come back with mail it only shows my unread mail, everything else has no subject or sender, and is dated at 1969. This only happens after I get the error message below and click on 'Inbox' again. Weird Anyhoo, one last thing, I have the two-day problem with my time, Setting TZ=GMT in my zope start script gets me closer, but since I don't run GMT I need to either set it GMT -7 or MST, but can't figure out how to do this (it doesn't recognize MST) Thanks Dan- --------------------------------------------------------- Zope Error Zope has encountered an error while publishing this resource. readonly Sorry, a Zope error occurred. sort_on keyword in ZCatalog searches?
by Darran Edmundson 20 Feb '00

20 Feb '00

As per Zen's How-To: http://www.zope.org/Members/Zen/howto/AdvZCatalogSearching I have been trying to sort my ZCatalog searches on a FieldIndex: <dtml-in "publicationCatalog(Authors='Kivshar',sort_on='Year')"> <dtml-var Authors>, <dtml-var Journal>,<dtml-var Year></dtml-with><br> </dtml-in> On my 2.1.0 Zope, this search returns empty. On my 2.1.4 Zope, this search returns a list of the correct length but with duplicate entries corresponding to the first match. Year is definately af FieldIndex. Any ideas on the source of this problem? Cheers, Darran.

How do I remove ZClass instances programmatically?
by magnus＠vestnett.no 20 Feb '00

20 Feb '00

I have built a ZClass that contains another Zclass that I also built. I read the great HOW-TO by tazzzzz describing how to programatically add instances of one inside the other, but I can't find out how to remove them! Is there a deleteInObjectManager method? -Mangus

Re: [Zope] worldpilot INBOX error

I'm experiencing the same thing. I have some Digial Alpha's (tru64) running UW IMAP 4.7 and on two systems it works fine, one system (and another test RH Linux box w/ UW IMAP via RPM) we get these INBOX not writable errors. Ita gotta be a flakey imaplib - it may have something to do with the MTA, since on the working Alpha's we are using procmail, and the one bad one is using mail. But I don't as yet know the real problem. -andy - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Andrew Diller dillera(a)isc.upenn.edu Information Systems and Computing Unix Systems Group University of Pennsylvania v: 3-7360 f: 8-9348 On Sun, 20 Feb 2000 daniel(a)denverdomain.com wrote: > Hi, I keep gettinh this message when I log into worldpilot. That helps a whole world. :) Thanks! It works exactly the way you have described. I keep running into this kind of JavaScript tricks... arghhh... those "...:..." tags. Now I know there are "mySelection:list", "myMethod:method", "myVar:int", etc. These kinds of little tiny patches makes JavaScript look like Perl. :) regards, Hung Jung ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com

logic problem

oh by the way you guys have been helping in an excellent way this week. thanks so much. When I use this dtml; if bid, bpurchaseyear, and bdescription are all true. the string ends up being set to 'id,description' It is skipping the bpurchaseyear or taking 'puchaseyear' it out of the string. I am not sure what is happening. <dtml-if bid> <dtml-call "manage_changeProperties(qstring = 'id')"> </dtml-if> <dtml-if bpurchaseyear> <dtml-call "manage_changeProperties(testvalue = qstring)"> <dtml-if bid> <dtml-call "manage_changeProperties(qstring = testvalue + ',' + 'puchaseyear')"> <dtml-else> <dtml-call "manage_changeProperties(qstring = 'purchaseyear')"> </dtml-if> </dtml-if> <dtml-call "manage_changeProperties(testvalue = qstring)"> <dtml-if bdescription> <dtml-if "bid or bpurchaseyear"> <dtml-call "manage_changeProperties(qstring = testvalue + ',' + 'description')"> <dtml-else> <dtml-call "manage_changeProperties(qstring = testvalue + 'description')"> </dtml-if> </dtml-if>

[ANNOUNCEMENT] MySQLdb-0.1.2 now available
by Andy Dustman 20 Feb '00

20 Feb '00

-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- After a long testing period during which nobody complained :-/, I have released MySQLdb-0.1.2, which is a DB API v2.0 compliant interface to MySQL-3.22. You can find it at: http://starship.python.net/crew/adustman/MySQLdb.html New features: - -- There is now a literal conversion dictionary which can be used to control the conversion of Python types into MySQL literals (default is to treat as a string). This results in better literal handling for numbers and user-defined objects. - -- Some of the MySQL-specific functions are now accessible directly through the MySQL Connection object. These are quite non-portable to other databases, but if you need 'em, they're now easier to get to. Zope smokers: The ZMySQLDA patch is unchanged. In fact, none of the above features affect you in the slightest, so no rush to upgrade. :) Due to time constraints, I have not been able to keep up at all with the Zope mailing list, so if there are any issues with ZMySQLDA and MySQLdb, please cc: me or write me directly. - -- andy dustman | programmer/analyst | comstar.net, inc. telephone: 770.485.6025 / 706.549.7689 | icq: 32922760 | pgp: 0xc72f3f1d "Therefore, sweet knights, if you may doubt your strength or courage, come no further, for death awaits you all, with nasty, big, pointy teeth!" -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: 2.6.3a Charset: noconv iQEPAwUBOKzHrxOPBZTHLz8dAQHU2wfPQGZPHRTgjKY34+/XPyYCDpH+Z2V3y/MJ uTBXTDRch9sKYMn5mvE0CuSvpZYY+zpwwMYhShRVz/EVlTEZXqQgA9fIyvQ5Rpn/ MDrYaAX968T07NYjeVfanvYzQkUrsuBfLbzFujk3vpooojP/lFSWanStKXJ2/5+z VWoUJLYX2q31dxe26Lvx2+fpLdqpn4RAkzlXLw5CzM+04s61etNbdDtWPRb386fY Zxjhw8FJg6B0zaaZ4aB/skhTGUjJ/yqzqDeq5id5Pldk2zBOmtvHXmxB1f+z56gO F8iZMNTLoP9X4cPyUWdCS2PZdbnr7QBBsIxe6lC4vcVH9Q== =ehLh -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----

When the form needs different action http's, it's more complicated. I don't have a good way of doing it except by using a hidden field in combination with a button and javascript. And Netscape is quite primitive and unforgiving when it comes to javascripts. <script "javascript1.1"> function submitCreate() { document.myForm.action = 'http://.../create'; document.myForm.myActionType = 'create'; ... if (everything_is_fine) { document.myForm.submit(); return true; } else { alert('problems found.'); return false; } } function submitEdit() {...} function submitDelete() {...} </script> <form name="myForm" method="post"> ... <input type="hidden" name="myActionType"> <input type="button" onclick="submitCreate()"> <input type="button" onclick="submitEdit()"> <input type="button" onclick="submitDelete()"> </form> And on the server side: <dtml-if "REQUEST.has_key('myActionType') and REQUEST.myActionType == 'create'"> ... Detecting which form button is pushed?
by Brett Morgan 20 Feb '00

20 Feb '00

I am currently playing with a form with multiple submit buttons and I was wondering the correct dtml way of detecting which submit button was pushed: My Submit buttons look like: ... <input type="SUBMIT" name="create" value="Create As New Record (Copy)"> <input type="SUBMIT" name="edit" value="Edit In Place"> <input type="SUBMIT" name="delete" value="Delete This Record"> ... And I would like to know what is the correct way of munging REQUEST.form to switch on which was pressed. Also is there a way of <dtml-if>'ing on the existance of a variable in the namespace? I sometimes want the logical control similar to the &dtml.missing-variable; entity def. brett -- email: Brett.Morgan(a)uts.edu.au phone: +61-2-9514-2091 A guy goes into a doctor's office. The doctor tells him, "You're fat!" The guy says, "Doctor, I want a second opinion!" The doctor says, "OK, you're ugly, too!"
