UserLDAP and HTTP Authentication

Hi everyone, I've just installed Zope 2.1.4 with UserLDAP and was able to connect to the LDAP server fine and get my list of users. Now, what I wanted to do is have HTTP authentication based on a certain attribute like 'access' for example. How is this done? I'm new on Zope and still trying to learn python. I'd really appreciate any help. Thanks in advance, Mike

I'm using Openlink multi-tier (to access Informix 7.3 on HP-UX) and Zope with ZODBC running on an NT box. If I can help please get in touch. Dear Zopers, we are happy to announce the version 0.1 of the OpenFlow project. OpenFlow aims to be the Open Source Workflow system, a complete set of tools for the workflow management and document management. Our target are primary public administration in Italy, but we guess that this project could be of some interest to the persons in this list. Participation to OpenFlow is hoped and welcomed. OpenFlow is build upon the Zope system. The current release include code for building Process, Activities, Transition and little more, following the WfMC specification (see http://www.aiim.org/wfmc/index.htm) The project is currently hosted at sourceforge.net. That looks to me like something in ZCatalog? import problem cvs -> 2.1.4

I have a package installed and running on a cvs release of Zope and would like to move it over to an installation running 2.1.4. I exported the package (it's PTK btw) and ftp'd it over to the new site. When i try to import <filename>.zexp it bombs out saying: Zope has encountered an error while publishing this resource. Error Type: AttributeError Error Value: 'string' object has no attribute 'Splitter' along with a slew of Traceback info which I can post.. :) This same file reimports nicely into the cvs version. My question is, are there significant differences between Zope cvs (last week's cvs release btw) and Zope 2.1.4 that would make this import impossible? The same version of PTK are installed on both sites btw. Thanks for any feedback. The blame goes to Evan Simpson, who pointed out a problem which would allow people to construct links to a Zope server such that it would cause JScript (or other HTML-embeddable scripts) to be executed in the user's browser. This script would appear to come from the Zope server. syncing zcatalog

hi all, how do we keep zcatalog in sync so that searches will not return random numerical key error. we now update manually each time we discovered key error. if there's no common solution, we may have to set up cron and update at a fixed interval. another questions is: is it true that after zope runs for a while ( in my case, 8 days running), zope tends to get slower, or is it my imagination. when i restart the zope process thru the management interface, i sense that it responds faster. can any guru clue a newbie here? tia -- ------------------------------------------------------ http://www.kedai.com.my/kk Am I Evil?
