Again, sorry. I used the __init.py from Products/photo/install_PIL. I've actually never used anything else. As the giant says to the Sicilian, "I don't think that word means what you think it means," or in this case, that tag. The <dtml-let> tag is really just syntactic sugar for <dtml-with "_.namespace( ..." )> -- it constructs a new, *readonly* namespace, populated with the values you supply in the tag's attributes, and pushes that namespace on top of the DTML namespace stack. This new namespace softly and silently vanishes away at the </dtml-in>, leaving no trace that it ever existed. You should also be aware that this let namespace interacts oddly with calls to other DTML methods -- in fact, I haven't quite figured out how to make them play nice together. Phil Eby, who contributed the let tag, has an extension, <dtml-set>, which allows for replacing values in the let namespace -- this extension has not been accepted into the Zope core, however, as it was held to facilitate "DTML abusee". Zclass bug

Hi, Is the Zclass bug going to be fixed in the next release of Zope? The bug I am referring to is the arcane way of having to 'change' a factory when no change has been made when you are creating Zclasses within Zclasses. Or is this already done or perhaps there is another way that fellow Zopists are creating workable Zclasses within Zclasses. TIA, T

ZClass A within ZClass A within ZClass A ...

Hi, I'm currently building a 'URLstore', a product which will classify articles by their URLS. I am having a slight problem with Zclassses. I have created an objectAware Zclass named 'Category' and have created another Zclass within it named 'IntroArticle'. I need the product to be able to create Category instances (so far no problem) and then within the category create an Introarticle instance (again simple stuff) but also give an option to create another Category Instance WITHIN the first category instance. Something like this if that wasn't clear: Category 1: IntroArt 1 IntroArt 2 Category A: IntroArt1 IntroArt2 Category a: etc. Category B Category C Category 2: <same as above> <etc.> I am a beginner at OOP so perhaps the above situation is very simple, but so far I have racked my brains against my keyboard enough to cause a minor headache (and my poor keyboard isn't looking so hot either anymore) Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Hosting Question

I'm looking into the possibility of using Zope for a commercial web site. The site would be hosted by a third party. I can almost assure you that the hosting company has no experience with Zope. I'm sure that if I propose Zope, there will be a concern that our hosting facility wouldn't be prepared to deal with the administration and operation of Zope. Can people give me a feel for the types of skills and experience we would need to support Zope in a production environment? Thanks. James W.
