If you don't need debug mode, then edit the start script in the root Zope directory and remove the "-D" switch. (Take a look at z2.py to see more startup switches.) I see a couple FastCGI problems listed in the Collector, but judging from the traffic on the Zope lists, there may be a couple more problems out there. Here's you chance to complain. createInObjectManager without interaction

Zopists, Does anyone know how to create an instance of a ZClass without user interaction. I would liek the creation of a ZClass instance of one ZClass to trigger the creation of other ZClass instances in another folder. Is their any way? All my best, -- Jason Spisak webmaster(a)hiretechs.com

Newbiew question - ZClass Securiy

Hi, I'm a newbie for Zope and and using ZClass for the first time. I created a class called UserAccount that holds the pertinent info for a user. I would like an anonymous user ie anyone to create an instance on the ZClass but it is complaining that the anonymous user is not authorized to access the class. When I try to run the DTML that tries to do the createInObjectmanager as the "manager" everything works fine. Where is the security setting of the ZClass that I need to change to allow anyone to create an instance. Thanks for any help. Thanks to all who gave input into my installation problems especially gendler(a)impossible.com, smpitts@midsouth.rr.com,adjustman@comstar.net, jkhoffman(a)carolina.rr.com tj(a)avalongroup.net , alanprog(a)empresa.net, and the many others who helped!!! I hope that I have not missed anyone who gave input! Zope is not the easiest product to get installed but I think that I will be worth the wait.

fmt=whole-dollars

Hi, I just ran across a little puzzler: <dtml-var totalprice fmt=whole-dollars> produces output like $12345, I kind of expected $12,345 so I changed it to fmt=dollars-and-cents and got $12345.00 Do neither of those format strings produce commas? -- Stand Fast, tjg. PID Error with PCGI

Well I thought I would look into running Zope alongside Apache using the PCGI and associated wrapper on NT. Since all indications were that this was rather straightforward I dove in. I have a feeling that I am having a problem getting Apache to run the wrapper, but I don't think that is the heart of the problem. Z SQL Method - DTML Method

I am a beginner and I am developing a trial application with zope, but I have a problem. In a DTML Method (say "MyMethod") I have the following code: ...... <select name="SottoRubrica"> <dtml-in "SQLSottoRubriche('71')" > <option> <dtml-var descrizione> </dtml-in> ..... in the Z SQL Method "SQLSottoRubriche" (with Argument "Rubrica") I have the following code: select * from SottoRubriche where codrubrica=  The test on the ZSQL Method run proprely. But as soon as I try to access to MyMethod via browser I have the following error: Zope Error Zope has encountered an error while publishing this resource. Error Type: Bad Request Error Value: ['Rubrica'] If I delete the part of code in the MyMethod, the page work fine even via browser. I know I miss something, but I don't understand what.
