RE: Evaluating dtml from python
by Chuck Burdick (TT) 20 Dec '99

A while after I submitted this, I figured it out. Here's the fix: return HTML.__call__(self) This evaluates the string as DTML using the environment that called the python method. The example is modified below: <<<Example>>> from Globals import HTML def myproc(): mystring = "<dtml-in mysqlselect><dtml-var id>, <dtml-var value></dtml-in>" mydtml = HTML(mystring, globals()) return HTML.__call__(self) <<<End of Example>>> > -----Original Message----- > From: Chuck Burdick (TT) > Sent: Monday, December 20, 1999 11:05 AM > To: 'zope(a)zope.org' > Subject: Evaluating dtml from python > > I have a string that I want to evaluate as dtml from within a python > method. 2.1.1 and fsimport.py?
by Steen Suder 20 Dec '99

1. Does anyone have a version of fsimport.py that works with 2.1.1? 2. How is it supposed to work? I placed the most recent version I could find in the Extensions dir. Then I added an external method in the root folder. Now I have a fsimport object there, with a "Try it" tab... that renders an error when activated. Error: Invalid request The parameter, fsdir, was omitted from the request. Make sure to specify all required parameters, and try the request again. Hi all, Anyone the latest zope release to compile on OpenBSD? I'd like to know how you did it. Right now I get the following errors when I compile. You must also define a rewrite log file. http://www.apache.org/docs/mod/mod_rewrite.html > -----Original Message----- > From: Guy Davis [mailto:davis@arc.ab.ca] > Sent: Monday, December 20, 1999 4:40 PM > To: Michel Pelletier > Subject: Re: [Zope] Can't access /manage > > > Do you mean add 'RewriteLogLevel 9' just below the 'RewriteEngine on' > statement in httpd.conf and then restart Apache? If so, Zope will turn itself into the user 'nobody'. Can't access /manage

I installed the Zope-2.0.1-5.i386.rpm and Zope-pcgi-2.0.1-5.i386.rpm on a Redhat 6.1 box this morning. After compiling in mod_rewrite with Apache 1.3.9 (verfied with httpd -l), I am able to bring up the Quickstart pages from http://<hostname>/cgi-bin/Zope but when I try to the login to the management pages (/manage), I get denied. I have verified that I am using the correct username and password from /var/zope/access. -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 25 Dec 20 13:57 access Here is the rewrite statement from the end of httpd.conf: RewriteEngine on RewriteCond %{HTTP:Authorization} ^/Zope(.*) RewriteRule ^/Zope(.*) /home/httpd/cgi-bin/Zope$1 \ [e=HTTP_CGI_AUTHORIZATION:%1,t=application/x-httpd-cgi,l] The zope log contains nothing helpful. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. -- Guy Davis mailto:davis@arc.ab.ca (403) 210-5334 Alberta Research Council

><dtml-if hasProperty('pid')>... >Find this and more in http://www.zope.org/Members/ZQR >-- Loren Thanks, that's it!!! I searched through several docs and found nothing... I sorta feel like I did in grade school when I teachers would tell me to look up a word in the dictionary if I didn't know how to spell it ... the problem was of course that if I knew how to look it up (by spelling it), then I wouldn't need to look it up ....
