ZClass autofilling parent ZClass properties?

I'm trying to create a ZClass that inherits from another ZClass and automatically generates some of the creation properties for the parent, including 'id'. When I try to create a instance of the child, I get: Error Type: KeyError Error Value: id Here's the interesting part of the add method: <dtml-call "REQUEST.set('id', _.string.translate(_.string.lower(REQUEST['title']), _.string.maketrans(' ', '_')))"> <dtml-call "REQUEST.set('location_type', 'url')"> <dtml-call "REQUEST.set('item_type', 'link')"> <dtml-call "REQUEST.set('format', 'html')"> <dtml-with "SiteLinkClass.createInObjectManager(REQUEST['id'], REQUEST)"> >From the traceback below and various attempts to hack around the error it looks to me like Zope is using my REQUEST object to try an create the parent (SiteItemClass) before it tries to create the child (SiteLinkClass). Is this the case? If so, is it impossible for me to generate the new id this way? Just a guess... These methods are probably actually methods of the propertysheet not the ZClass... Problem with exporting from 1.x to 2.0.1

Tree tag and xmlDocument

Hi all, Scenario: I have an xmlDocument that has contents similar to these <?xml version="1.0"?> <document name="DS iibk3.doc"> <header level="1" htext="Aims"> <p>Paragraph 1</p> </header> <header level="1" htext="Learning objectives"> <header level="2" htext="Clinical Immunology"> <ul> <li>List Item 1</li> <li>List Item 2</li> <li>List Item 3</li> </ul> </header> <header level="2" htext="Assessments"> <p>Paragraph 1</p> <p>Paragraph 2</p> <p>Paragraph 3</p> <p>Paragraph 4</p> <p>Paragraph 5</p> <p>Paragraph 6</p> </header> </header> </document> I would like this to be rendered to a tree structure. No problem <dtml-tree test_xml> <dtml-var getTagName> </dtml-tree> Show's a tree of the tagnames, (easy enough to change what is shown for each tag). However I only want the <header>'s to show up in the tree, at the moment all of the items are being rendered in the tree. Any Ideas. Phil phil(a)philh.org
